Abstract:
A connector housing assembly having a ring-like packing formed integrally with a resin housing member to provide an improved sealing function at a reduced manufacturing cost. The housing is formed by resin molding using male and female molds. In one embodiment of the invention, the first male mold is removed and replaced with another male mole shaped so as to form a hollow portion corresponding to the desired shape of the packing. Rubber material is poured into the hollow portion through lead-in paths in at least one of the female mold or the second male mold. In another embodiment, the two molds used to form the housing are both removed, and the first male mold is replaced with a second male mold defining the hollow portion used to form the packing.

Abstract:
A transformer employed in a power supply circuit of a ringing choke converter type comprises two feedback windings which share the current to be supplied to the base of a switching transistor for blocking oscillation. By virtue of the provision of the two feedback windings, a speedup capacitor for delivering a trigger current to the switching transistor is allowed to have less capacity, while the amount of heat generation of a resistor for regulating the trigger current can be restrained. These advantageous features of the present invention produces the effect that the bulk and weight of the capacitor and the resistor can be reduced, which leads to curtailing of the cost of the components as well as enhancing of the reliability of the circuit. The effect is more appreciable when a higher output is required.

A secondary battery includes an outer housing and an electrode body including a positive electrode member, separator member and a negative electrode member stacked in this order wherein the positive electrode member and the negative electrode member are formed from a collector and an active material layer formed to cover one end on the collector, an insulating body in which an insulating material that does not exhibit adhesiveness at room temperature is adhered with an adhesive strength of 1 N/15 mm or greater onto the collector constituting the positive electrode member or the negative electrode member, and a peripheral edge of the positive electrode member or the negative electrode member has a cross-sectional surface including the collector and the insulating body.

A plasma etching apparatus performs plasma etching on a substrate having a resist pattern formed thereon and an outer edge portion where the substrate surface is exposed. The plasma etching apparatus includes a support part that supports the substrate, a cover member that covers the outer edge portion of the substrate and prevents plasma from coming around the outer edge portion, and a control unit that generates plasma by controlling high frequency power application and supply of a processing gas for etching, and uses the generated plasma to etch the substrate that is supported by the support part and has the outer edge portion covered by the cover member. After etching the substrate, the control unit generates plasma by controlling high frequency power application and supply of a processing gas for ashing, and uses the generated plasma to perform ashing on the resist pattern on the etched substrate.

An interior structure inside the exterior structure is endowed with a magnetic body that moves by way of a magnetic force that acts from the exterior of the toy, an interior locking portion that moves simultaneously with the movement of this magnetic body, and a biasing member that effects a force which moves or turns this interior locking portion in a particular direction. If the magnetic force does not act from the exterior of the toy, the first shape of the exterior structure maintained. In the event that a magnetic force has acted from the exterior of the said toy, the exterior structure transforms from the first shape to the second shape.

An object of the present invention is to provide a corrected exhaust gas pressure loss calculation device which corrects an exhaust gas pressure loss that varies from moment to moment in accordance with engine operating conditions to a corrected exhaust gas pressure loss that can be used directly in control. The present invention converts an exhaust gas pressure into the corrected exhaust gas pressure loss, which is an exhaust gas pressure loss under a reference condition, from a relationship between an exhaust gas mass flow rate and an exhaust gas mass flow rate under the reference condition, a relationship between an exhaust gas temperature and an exhaust gas temperature under the reference condition, a relationship between the exhaust gas pressure and an exhaust gas pressure under the reference condition, and a relationship between an exhaust gas viscosity coefficient under a condition of the exhaust gas temperature and a viscosity coefficient of a viscous gas under the reference condition.

An image processing apparatus comprises a face detection unit configured to periodically perform face detection processing of detecting a face area of a person from an image; an authentication unit configured to periodically perform personal authentication processing for the detected face area; and a calculation unit configured to calculate a determination criterion to select a face area as a target of the personal authentication processing from the detected face areas, wherein the authentication unit performs the personal authentication processing at a cycle longer than that of the face detection processing, and when the face detection unit detects the face areas from a plurality of images, selects a face area complying with the determination criterion calculated by the calculation unit from the face areas of the plurality of images as the target of the personal authentication processing.
