摘要: A matrix switch of an optical waveguide type which has low transmission loss variations and includes uniform grooves with a deep vertical cross section is provided. A switching part for selecting between a light path extending from an input port of a first set of optical waveguides 111-11m to an output port of the first set of optical waveguides 111-11m and a light path extending from an input port of the first set of optical waveguides 111-11m to an output port of a second set of optical waveguides 121-12n is arranged for insertion into a switching groove arranged at each of the intersections of the first set of optical waveguides 111-11m and the second set of optical waveguides 121-12n. Each of the switching grooves is arranged on an imaginary straight line connecting intersections of the first set of optical waveguides 111-11m and the second set of optical waveguides 121-12n.

摘要: A solid preparation for dialysis for preparing a double preparation type sodium bicarbonate solid preparation for dialysis in which there is no fear that a sugar component is decomposed or colored, and which can maintain stability and is also excellent in content homogeneity and a process for producing the same. The solid preparation for dialysis is a mixture of a first composition composed of core particles including sodium chloride and a coating layer containing one or more electrolytes, a second composition composed of core particles including a sugar that is covered with a coating layer comprising the same sugar or a different sugar, and an acid.

摘要: A light source unit is provided which includes a lamp and a reflector for reflecting rays of light emitted by a light emitting element of the lamp and for focusing the reflected rays of light. In order to focus on a predetermined focal point the rays of light emitted by the light emitting element of the lamp and refracted by a cross-sectional shape of the lamp, the reflector has a concave reflective shape formed so as to satisfy a predetermined calculation expression. Alternatively, a reflective surface shape of the reflector may be obtained by shifting portions of an ellipse and rotating a curve of the shifted portions around the optical axis of the light source unit.

摘要: An image processing apparatus includes a wavelet transformation unit for wavelet-transforming input image data on a per-image basis, and an encoder for changing transformation coefficients, which have been obtained by the transformation, to bit planes from higher- to lower-order bits, and encoding the bit planes one bit plane at a time. A code-quantity prediction unit determines whether all encoded data of each of the image data that have been encoded can be stored in the memory when the encoded data obtained by the encoder is stored in the memory image by image. If all of the encoded data cannot be stored, the encoded data that overflows the memory is divided and the divided encoded data is stored in the memory by writing the divided encoded data equally over storage areas of the lower-order bit planes of each of the image.

摘要: The recording medium cartridge accommodates a recording medium such as a magnetic tape, a optical and/or magnetic disk, or the like in a cartridge body having an upper half and a lower half. A non-contact type memory device storing information, for example, given when producing the cartridge is provided in a reel of at least one of upper and lower flanges of a tape reel or on a surface facing to the tape winding surface of the body in the cartridge accommodating the tape reel wound with the tape, or in a recessed portion formed in at least one of a bottom surface of the lower half and an upper surface of a slider or in the slider in the cartridge having the slider, or in a transparent window of the body. A part of at least one of the upper and lower halves that corresponds to the memory device may be notched. The memory device may be welded together when fitting other members.

摘要: Rubber aircraft parts are made of the cured form of a curable composition comprising a perfluoropolyether polymer having a perfluoropolyether backbone and at least one reactive group, a crosslinking agent for crosslinking the polymer, and a silica filler having an average particle size of 0.001-10 &mgr;m. By providing dramatically improved sealability at low temperatures of −25 to −55° C., particularly during use in a dynamic state, and much improved resistance to amines and other chemicals, such rubber parts can ensure the reliable sealability of fluid line junctions in jet engines.
