摘要: A flywheel energy storage system incorporates various embodiments in design and processing to achieve a very high ratio of energy stored per unit cost. The system uses a high-strength steel rotor rotating in a vacuum envelope. The rotor has a geometry that ensures high yield strength throughout its cross-section using various low-cost quenched and tempered alloy steels. Low-cost is also achieved by forging the rotor in a single piece with integral shafts. A high energy density is achieved with adequate safety margins through a pre-conditioning treatment. The bearing and suspension system utilizes an electromagnet that off-loads the rotor allowing for the use of low-cost, conventional rolling contact bearings over an operating lifetime of several years.

An electric machine (103) located within the casing has an armature and a field source, the electric machine having a fixed part coupled to the casing and a moving part. A counterweight assembly (104) is movable within the casing, comprising the moving part of the electric machine and wherein a relative movement of the counterweight assembly and the fixed part of the electric machine generates electric power. Power storage (400) stores power generated by the electric machine and a control system (200) determines a bi-directional energy flow between the power storage and the armature, wherein energy is returned to the electric machine to drive a motion of the counterweight assembly anti-symmetrically to a motion of the casing.

摘要: A motor cooling and eddy current suppression structure (100), which is attached to the surface of the motor winding (201), includes a first cooling plate (101), a second cooling plate (103,104), and a cooling water circuit located between the first cooling plate and the second cooling plate. The cooling water circuit is configured to allow the cooling fluid to pass through. The first and the second cooling plates are both non-magnetic metallic materials. The first cooling plate is divided into a plurality of individual first regions (301,303) which are corresponding to each pole of the motor by one or more first slits (305) provided on the first cooling plate in the position where the motor poles are combined. Each of the first regions is further divided into an even number of first sub-areas by at least one fist sub-slit (306) where induced electromotive force is generated. Two adjacent first sub-areas in respective first regions are grouped together, and the ends of each first sub-area that has the same polarity are connected in series. The second cooling plate is divided into a plurality of individual second regions which are corresponding to each pole of the motor by one or more second slits provided on the second cooling plate in the position where the motor poles are combined. Each of the second regions is further divided into an even number of second sub-areas by at least one second sub-slit where induced electromotive force is generated. Two adjacent second sub-areas in respective second regions are grouped together, and the ends of each second sub-area that has the same polarity are connected in series. This structure can efficiently reduce the temperature of the motor winding and reduce the induced eddy current.

摘要: A washing machine driving apparatus comprises: a drive motor of a double rotor-double stator structure where the drive motor comprises an inner rotor and an outer rotor controllable independently by a double stator, and optionally generating inner rotor output and outer rotor output; a first inner shaft transferring the inner rotor output as a first input; a first outer shaft rotatably coupled to an outer periphery of the first inner shaft, and transferring the outer rotor output as a second input; a planetary gear unit where a gear ratio of a transmission output generated from a carrier is controlled by the second input applied to a ring gear through the first outer shaft, when the first input is applied to a sun gear through the first inner shaft; and a protection unit protecting the inner rotor where an outer peripheral portion of protection unit is supported by the double stator.
