摘要: A process and an apparatus for generating a hydrogen- and/or carbon monoxide-comprising gas product, wherein a hydrocarbon feed formed from a hydrocarbons-containing starting material is supplied together with superheated steam to a steam reforming proceeding at elevated pressure to obtain a hydrogen- and carbon monoxide-containing crude synthesis gas from which the gas product is derived are disclosed. The boiler feed water is supplied at a pressure higher than its critical pressure with heat to obtain supercritical water of which subsequently at least a portion is employed as propelling medium in a steam jet ejector by means of which the hydrocarbon feed and/or a substance employed for the formation thereof are compressed.

摘要: The invention relates to distributing reactants more evenly across the interior space of a reactor vessel utilizing a distributor at the inlet end that initially directs the flow of reactants through a flange plate and a series of ring plates. The ring plates are physical spaced such that vapor along the wall of the inlet is mildly obstructed by the flange plate and the ring plates cause the vapor to alter course temper down any diverse velocities that may create hot spots within the catalyst bed.

The optical waveguide has measuring points having a spacing between adjacent measuring points in the axial direction of the thermal tube which is 0.8 to 5 times the shortest edge length of all imaginary cuboids which, having a minimum volume in the cases in which nominal external dimensions are associated with particles of the catalyst material.

The one or more catalyst beds may be operated under a variety of conditions. At least a portion of the catalyst beds may be operated under substantially adiabatic conditions. At least a portion of the catalyst beds may be operated under substantially isothermal conditions.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a combination reactor system for exothermic reactions comprising a trickle-bed reactor and a shell-and-tube reactor. This combination allows the system to efficiently remove heat while also providing the ability to control both the temperature and/or reaction progression. The trickle-bed reactor removes heat efficiently from the system by utilizing latent heat and does not require the use of a cooling or heating medium. The shell-and-tube reactor is used to further progress the reaction and provides a heat exchanger in order to introduce fluid at the desired temperature in the shell-and-tube reactor. Also, additional reactant or reactants and/or other fluids may be introduced to the shell-and-tube section of the reactor under controlled temperature conditions.

摘要: In an embodiment, a method of producing carbonate can comprise: reacting a feed comprising carbon monoxide and chlorine in a tube of a reactor to produce a product composition comprising phosgene, wherein the tube has a particulate catalyst contained therein, wherein a thermally conductive material separate from the tube contacts at least a portion of the particulate catalyst, and wherein carbon tetrachloride is present in the product composition in an amount of 0 to 10 ppm by volume based on the volume of the phosgene; and reacting a monohydroxy compound with the phosgene to produce the carbonate.
