Abstract: Devices for closing a passage through tissue communicating with a body lumen. The device may include an elongate body, a sheath disposed at the distal end of the device for disposition within a body lumen, a hollow needle disposed within a needle lumen of the body, the needle being selectively advanceable through the needle lumen, a suture-anchor ejection mandrel disposed within the hollow needle that is also selectively advanceable through the hollow needle, a suture-anchor and suture disposed within the hollow needle, a distal end of the suture attached to the suture anchor for ejection out the hollow needle by the mandrel. A needle guide disposed between the sheath and proximal end of the body may include a needle port through which the needle can exit. A hemostatic plug is disposed over the needle port so as to be penetrated by the needle upon exiting the port.

Abstract: A stent is formed by encasing or encapsulating metallic rings in an inner polymeric layer and an outer polymeric layer. At least one polymer link connects adjacent metallic rings. The stent is drug loaded with one or more therapeutic agent or drug, for example, to reduce the likelihood of the development of restenosis in the coronary arteries. The inner and outer polymeric materials can be of the same polymer or different polymer to achieve different results, such as enhancing flexibility and providing a stent that is visible under MRI, computer tomography and x-ray fluoroscopy.

A bifurcated leg with a non-collapsing stent extends across the tricuspid valve. Abstract: Delivery systems are disclosed for bioresorbable scaffolds that decrease in length when expanded to a deployment diameter that allow accurate positioning of the scaffold at a lesion. The scaffolds are mounted on a catheter that includes marker bands that are positioned interior to the proximal and distal edges of the crimped scaffold to anticipate the shortening of the scaffold upon deployment. Delivery systems are further disclosed for bioresorbable scaffolds that increase in length when expanded to a deployment diameter that allow accurate positioning of the scaffold at a lesion.
