Abstract:
A graphics system allows for manipulation of a detail mesh for a subdivision surface. To deform the subdivision surface, the graphics system generates a corresponding deformed control mesh by attempting to satisfy both position constraints of the manipulation and Laplacian constraints for the detail mesh. After the deformed control mesh is generated, the deformed detail mesh can be generated by applying a subdivision function to the deformed control mesh to generate a deformed smooth mesh and then applying detail information to the deformed smooth mesh.
Abstract:
EGFR biomarkers useful in a method for predicting the likelihood that a mammal that will respond therapeutically to a method of treating cancer comprising administering an EGFR modulator, wherein the method comprises (a) measuring in the mammal the level of at least one biomarker selected from epiregulin and amphiregulin, (b) exposing a biological sample from the mammal to the EGFR modulator, and (c) following the exposing of step (b), measuring in the biological sample the level of the at least one biomarker, wherein an increase in the level of the at least one biomarker measured in step (c) compared to the level of the at least one biomarker measured in step (a) indicates an increased likelihood that the mammal will respond therapeutically to the method of treating cancer.
Abstract:
A system and method of remotely loading artifacts is disclosed. The method involves storing and indexing a plurality of artifacts in a centralized location. A query is received from a client to locate an artifact, and the artifact is located within the central location. A reply is then returned to the client, wherein the reply includes a location of the artifact. In one embodiment, the method of remotely loading artifacts further involves the artifacts being previously extracted from an application during the installation of the application.
Abstract:
The invention relates to thiazole compounds of Formula I and Formula II and compositions thereof useful for treating diseases mediated by protein kinase B (PKB) where the variables have the definitions provided herein. The invention also relates to the therapeutic use of such thiazole compounds and compositions thereof in treating disease states associated with abnormal cell growth, cancer, inflammation, and metabolic disorders.
Abstract:
Provided are a method, system, and article of manufacture for determining connection information to use to access an artifact from an application on a remote server. A request is received in a local server for an artifact at a target application executing on a remote server. A determination is made as to whether a local repository includes connection information on the remote server. The connection information is used to communicate the request for the artifact to the remote server over a network. The connection information is accessed from the local repository in response to determining that the local repository includes the connection information for the remote server. A determination is made as to whether a common repository is available to provide the connection information for the remote server in response to determining that the local repository does not include the connection information for the remote server. Communication is made to the common repository over the network to access the connection information for the remote server in response to determining that the common repository is available to provide the connection information.
Abstract:
A thermoplastic composition that includes a base polymer, a fluoropolymer, and a fluoride scavenger having suitable fluoride levels such that use in the electronics industry is appropriate. An extrusion method may be used for making the thermoplastic composition. The compositions may then be used to form a molded article. The composition has lower fluoride levels as compared to thermoplastic compositions without the fluoride scavenger making it suitable for use in electronic applications, as well as medical or food or beverage applications where fluoride ions are a concern.
Abstract:
The current invention discloses nucleic acid and amino acid sequences for novel organic anion transfer proteins (“OATPs”). The invention encompasses the OATPs described herein, together with vectors containing the cDNA sequences, host cells containing the vectors and polypeptides having all or part of an OATP. Also encompasses are uses for OATPs for targeting drugs to specific organs and for modulating the concentration of endogenous substrates.
