摘要: A method of analyzing factors affecting the product quality performs adjustment of molding conditions for an injection molding machine. Data effective to discriminate the product quality is properly selected, and molding conditions for eliminating a molding abnormality are easily determined for an appropriate adjustment of the molding conditions. First and second principal component axes are defined by obtaining correlation coefficients indicating correlations of variations of plural conditions related to an injection molding operation, and performing a principal component analysis. Points representing dispersion of various conditions with respect to each principal component axis, are plotted on a rectangular coordinate system. The characteristic of variation tendency of data of the various conditions is synthetically evaluated on the basis of the first and second principal components which are most affecting the variation of data of the various conditions. The selection of the detected data for discriminating the product quality and the molding conditions to be adjusted is made easy, so that the discrimination of the product quality and adjustment of the molding conditions are simplified.

摘要: A process for producing non-scattering hollow plastic balloons which comprises: (a) heating a mixture (A) of non-foamed plastic balloons and a first wetting agent, which is a plasticizer, to a temperature from 40.degree. C. to a temperature which is 40.degree. C. below an exit temperature of a heat exchanger, (b) contacting the mixture (A) with a second wetting agent being heated to a temperature equal to or above the foaming starting temperature of the non-foamed plastic balloons, wherein a ratio of the mixture (A) to the second wetting agent (B) is 1:0.5 to 1:1.5, the contacting being within 1 minute after heating the mixture (A) by the heat exchanger to a temperature ranging from 20.degree. to 50.degree. C. below the foaming starting temperature of the non-foamed plastic balloons, (c) foaming the non-foamed plastic balloons, and (d) cooling the resultant mixture from step (c) containing the foamed plastic balloons. Non-scattering foamed plastic balloons can thus be obtained simultaneously with the foaming. The present process needs a smaller amount of a plasticizer than the conventional process of wetting foamed plastic balloons with a plasticizer.

摘要: A thin film magnetic head includes an upper magnetic core film and a lower magnetic core film laminated one on another through a magnetic gap layer. The upper and lower magnetic core films are multilayer thin films, respectively, each of which is composed of a plurality of magnetic thin film layers and a plurality of non-magnetic thin film layers, alternately laminated one on another. The magnetic core films and have single domain structures, respectively, and the use of such magnetic core films realizes a thin film magnetic head having high permeability at high frequencies and improved high frequency characteristics and attains high recording density.

摘要: A magnetic recording head that includes a combined IN element and an MR element is heat treated under two types of magnetic fields. A rotating magnetic field, having a first magnetic field intensity, is applied for a time while the magnetic recording head is at an elevated temperature. Then, part-way during cooling of the magnetic head, the rotating magnetic field is replaced by a direct (non-rotating) magnetic field having a second magnetic field intensity. The second magnetic field intensity is lower than the first magnetic field intensity, whereby the properties of both the IN element and the MR element are maintained at high values.

摘要: A magnetic marker has a plurality of thin strips or wires of saturatable magnetic material having square .phi.-H characteristics and coercive forces different from each other. Amorphous magnetic material may be used. When the marker is subjected to magnetization reversal by an external magnetic field, variations of magnetic flux corresponding to a plurality of magnetization reversals can be chronologically detected as a voltage pulse train by detecting coils. By processing this voltage pulse train, a pattern can be made, recognized, so that the magnetic marker effectively identifies the kind of article to which it is attached. A magnetic marker reading and identifying apparatus has a plurality of exciting coils for producing a rotating magnetic field, with the axis of at least one of the exciting coils being orthogonal to the axis of at least one other exciting coil. The rotating a.c. magnetic field can be applied to the magnetic marker while the marker passes across the magnetic field irrespective of the position and direction of the marker, with no deviation in the pulse voltage due to leakage flux from the magnetic marker, thereby permitting reliable detection of the pulse train so that the kind and quantity of articles can be identified with high accuracy.
