    摘要: Disclosed herein is a method of manufacturing a medical device, catheter or lead having electrically conductive traces and external electrical contacts. Each trace may be in electrical connection with one or more external electrical contacts. More specifically, each trace is typically electrically connected to a single contact. The traces and contacts may assist in diagnosis and/or detection of bio-electrical signals emitted by organs, and may transmit such signals to a connector or diagnostic device affixed to the catheter. The external electrical contacts may detect bioelectric energy or may deliver electrical energy to a target site. Also disclosed herein is a medical device made in accordance with the method described above.

In this manner, not only does the exhaust gas deflector component of the pneumatically-powered fastener-driving tool exhibit an aesthetically pleasing external appearance, but in addition, the absence of any externally visible fastener structure, extending through the exhaust gas deflector component, permits various indicia, such as, for example, the company logo, to effectively be incorporated upon the external surface portion of the exhaust gas deflector component.

    摘要: The invention is directed to a method of detecting a malignancy or a pre-malignant lesion in breast or other tissue, or a pathologic condition, by detecting the presence of single-chain or two-chain forms of matriptase in the tissue. The invention is further directed to a method of treating malignancies, which have the phenotype of matriptase production by administering a tumor formation inhibiting effective amount of concentrate of Bowman-Birk inhibitor (BBIC), or other matriptase inhibitor. The invention also is directed to nucleic acids encoding a matriptase protein or fragments thereof, and their use for structure elucidation and modeling to identify other inhibitors of matriptase, as well as to methods of identifying matriptase modulating agents, including activators and inhibitors.

    摘要: Methods, functional data, and systems are provided for image feature translation. An image is decomposed into sub images, each sub image having its features identified by feature attributes. The feature attributes are used to identify a particular feature within each sub image. The orientation of the particular feature within the sub image is then mapped or calculated to a value. One or more of the mapped or calculated values are translated into a reading associated with an instrument. The reading is then optionally recorded or transmitted.

    摘要: A fused spacer fabric pad is provided having an upper layer of fabric, a lower layer of fabric, a plurality of spacer fibers therebetween, and a bead along lateral edge portions of the pad. The bead acts as a fused joint between the upper and lower layers of fabric. A method for forming the spacer fabric pad can include compressing portions of the spacer fabric together to form an outline of the spacer fabric pad, melting the compressed portions to form a fused joint, and cooling the fused joint while compressing the portions. The method can be performed using a die press that has a first platen, an opposing second platen, and a fusing die attached to the first platen. The fusing die can include a fusing blade that substantially forms the outline of the spacer fabric pad and that is formed of an electrically resistive material.
