    摘要: A method and an apparatus for serving high speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) cell change are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) receives pre-configured serving cell information for a target cell. The WTRU reports a measurement report and starts monitoring a high speed shared control channel (HS-SCCH) on the target cell. The WTRU may receive an HS-SCCH order over the target cell and/or a radio resource control (RRC) reconfiguration message over a source cell indicating a serving HS-DSCH cell change to the target cell. The WTRU may act upon all information elements of the RRC reconfiguration message in case that the RRC reconfiguration message is received prior to the HS-SCCH order, and act upon the pre-configured serving cell information in case that the HS-SCCH order is received prior to the RRC reconfiguration message.

    摘要: A method and apparatus are disclosed for selecting a channel for uplink communication includes determining whether a cell supports transmission over an enhanced random access channel (E-RACH) and selecting whether to send uplink communications over the E-RACH or a random access channel. A method for selecting a transmission time interval (TTI) for use on an E-RACH includes evaluating radio conditions measured at a user equipment and selecting a long TTI if radio conditions are bad and selecting a short TTI if radio conditions are good. Alternatively, the TTI can be selected based on an amount of data to be transmitted on the uplink. A user equipment, an integrated circuit, or a Node B can be configured to perform either method.

A wireless/transmit receive unit (WTRU) receives a plurality of high speed shared control channel (HS-SCCH) resources including radio resource control (RRC) configuration information for high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA), wherein the RRC configuration information includes dedicated pilot information associated with each received HS-SCCH resource. The WTRU detects a high speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) radio network transmission identifier (H-RNTI) associated with the WTRU in one of the plurality of HS-SCCH resources.     摘要: A method and apparatus for performing an enhanced random access procedure in a Cell_FACH state are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) transmits a random access channel (RACH) preamble for random access. If a positive acknowledgement (ACK) is received in response to the RACH preamble, the WTRU enters a contention resolution phase and transmits a message via an enhanced dedicated channel (E-DCH). If contention resolution fails, the RACH preamble is retransmitted. A contention back-off timer may be used for retransmission. A physical random access channel (PRACH) code may be reselected. The RACH preamble may be retransmitted using a reserved PRACH resource so that E-DCH resource is allocated to the collided WTRUs. Data transmitted during the contention resolution phase may remain in a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) buffer. The MAC-i/is entity may be reset. All data sent during the contention resolution phase may be stored in a temporary buffer.
