    摘要: A voltage-controlled oscillator according to the present invention comprises: a transistor, where the drain electrode is grounded, the gate electrode is connected to a resonator whose resonant frequency is adjustable according to a voltage applied to a voltage-dependent capacitance diode electromagnetically coupled with the resonator, an output signal is output from the source electrode; a resistor connected in gate bias circuit or source voltage supply circuit for detecting a low-frequency noise component generated in the transistor, where the detected low-frequency noise component is amplified and fed back to the voltage-dependent capacitance diode so as to cancel a phase-noise component generated in the voltage-controlled oscillator. The above-described voltage-controlled oscillator may be further provided with a reference crystal oscillator to which the voltage-controlled oscillator is phase-locked. Thus, a microwave voltage-controlled oscillator excellent in phase-noise characteristics of the oscillated frequency is accomplished though there is employed a GaAs FET which is not good in a low-frequency noise characteristic.

On an opposite side of the electrically conductive plane there is provided an unbalanced transmission line, for example, of a strip line type or a coaxial line type. An end of the transmission line is electromagnetically coupled via a dielectric material in the transmission line or directly with the radially cut side of the resonator element through an opening provided on the electrically conductive plane. Coupling circuit according to the present invention allows a compact overall circuit configuration.

The conductive chips (2a, 3a) are separated by a distance of .lambda.g/4. Signals on the conductive pads (2a, 3a) are transferred, through first and second conductive patterns (B1, B2) narrower than the main line, to an output terminal. The first conductive pattern and the second conductive pattern are different in length by 80 g/4, and a loose and directional coupling signal is obtained at the output terminal.

In the circuit, transistors or FETs are used as amplifying elements. A basic amplifying circuit employing transistors, that forms a differential pair of first and second transistors, first and second resistors connected to each collector of the first and second transistors, and a constant current source connected to a common emitter of the first and second transistors, comprises a third transistor, of which emitter is connected to a connecting point of the first and second resistors, a condenser connected between a connecting point of the first transistor and the first resistor, or a connecting point of the second transistor and the second resistor, and a base of the third transistor, and a voltage source connected to a collector of the third transistor, wherein outputs are obtained from an emitter of the third transistor.

    摘要: A radio-frequency identification (RF-ID) system including a master unit and a sub unit connected thereto by radio-communication, and used for identifying a moving article on which the sub unit is mounted. The master unit transmits a circularly polarized wave having two carrier components (CW1, CW2), and the sub unit, which does not include carrier generators and branching filters, is powered by a battery provided therein. The sub unit receives the circularly polarized wave, separates the two carrier components by a hybrid circuit, and transmits another circularly polarized wave base upon the received carrier component. The sub unit may be operated in response to a starting command from the main unit, and the main unit may have first and second detecting units separated by n.multidot..lambda.g/8, n: an odd integer, and .lambda.g: effective wave length, to eliminate the occurrence of null point phenomenon.
