Abstract:
In at least some aspects, the present concepts include a method of enabling rehabilitation of bodily control of a user comprising the acts of: integrating the user within a multi-module robotic system, the multi-module robotic system comprising modules of a flexible exosuit, a support module, a mobile base, or a combination thereof, applying one or more forces, cues, or a combination thereof on the user, based on one or more subtask-specific functions of the modules, to cause a developing of one or more subtasks of the bodily control, and managing control of one or more remaining subtasks of the bodily control by the modules in place of at least in part, the user while applying the one or more forces, cues, or a combination thereof.
Abstract:
An exercise incentive system receives exercise sensor data originating from at least one exercise tracking device. The at least one exercise tracking device transmits exercise sensor data determined from at least one exercise sensor. The exercise incentive system estimates a personalized caloric baseline for an exerciser. At least a portion of incremental calories burned by the exerciser over at least one period of time are determined and converted into at least one exercise credit.
Abstract:
A mobility or walking aid (WA) comprising an exoskeleton, a control system for controlling movement of the exoskeleton, and a power source for providing power to the exoskeleton and the associated control system. The WA system may be configured as a fully supportive system to assist a paraplegic user for example, or as a partially or fully supportive system to assist in the rehabilitation of a user with limited mobility. When a mobility impaired user is secured to the WA, the user is caused to move their joints and muscles through motions of walking, thereby assisting in the prevention of deterioration of a user's physiology. The WA is provided with various user customisable features and safety mechanisms including leg length adjustments, foot member adjustments, user size calibration and mechanical safety stop configuration.
Abstract:
A cardio pulmonary CPR device and method provides enhanced circulation by an inventive sequence of states of chest compression and airway valve opening and closure. The embodiments of the invention produce enhanced circulation during cardiac arrest, while maintaining a degree of ventilation to the patient, including oxygen delivery in some embodiments. Some embodiments include mechanical compression units. Other embodiments include a compression sensor to detect manually delivered compressions.
Abstract:
The present invention is a massage chair, having a main frame with specific curve, a chair back located by a chair seat with a rotation angle; wherein the main frame including back section, buttock section and leg section, the buttock section has an upward curve and the leg section has a downward curve, thus, massage provider can provide massage service to human thigh when the rotation angle is more than 110 degree; a seat supporter is restricted by a restriction supporter, then the rotation angle is smaller as a first rotation supporter rotates counter-clockwise and the main frame rotates clockwise, wherein the seat supporter is disposed within the chair seat, and the first rotation terminal is disposed under the main frame.
Abstract:
A knee extension assist device that includes: a frame, a support structure, a base and an articulated knee brace. The frame has a first section pivotably connected to a second section by a pair of hinges. The support structure is slidably attached to the frame to provide pivotal movement of the two sections. The base includes a motor that moves the frame between extended and retracted positions. The articulated knee brace receives a patient' leg and has a pair of upper legs connected by a pair of hinges to a pair of lower legs. A pair of shafts connects the hinges in the brace to the hinges on the frame and a pair of connecting members connects the lower legs to the second section of the frame. The pivotal movement of the frame causes a force to be exerted on the soft tissues in the knee of the patient.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides an assembly of a sexual stimulation device that can be assembled with an interchangeable actuator module and a control module. The sexual stimulation device can be placed with user's body to provide tactile stimulation. The sexual stimulation device may store different motion data, and the user may control the sexual stimulation device according the motion data. The sexual stimulation device can also allow the user to change the interchangeable actuator module according to user's choice. Furthermore, the sexual stimulation device may access a network to download motion data for different motion data choice.
Abstract:
A wheelchair type robot for use as a walking aid wherein an outer skeleton to be worn on the lower body of a user is combined with a lift and a drive part in a wheelchair form. The drive part is furnished with a drive motor and wheels that are installed on a main frame. The lift is furnished with an outer linear guide that is fixed and joined with the main frame, an inner linear guide that can move up and down along same, an upper chair part that connects with the inner linear guide to enable up and down motion, and a lower chair part that connects with the outer linear guide such that unfolds if the inner linear guide descends and folds if it ascends. The outer skeleton is furnished with a lift locking part that is fixed and joined with the upper chair part, an upper frame whereto a thigh brace is joined, a lower frame whereto a calf brace is joined, a hip part that is installed between the lift locking part and the upper frame to rotate the upper frame around the lift locking part, and a knee joint part that is installed between the upper frame and the lower frame to rotate the lower frame around the upper frame.

Embodiments include a simplified and compact airway valve.
Abstract:
A pelvis interface may include a subject attachment module including a waist attachment and a back attachment. The interface may further include an arm assembly coupled to the subject attachment module, the arm assembly including a plurality of arms so coupled to one another and/or to the subject attachment module as to permit the subject attachment module at least one pelvis translation degree of freedom and at least one pelvis rotation degree of freedom. The interface may further include motors so coupled to the arm assembly as to actuate at least one pelvis translation degree of freedom and at least one pelvis rotation degree of freedom.
