The fiber-reinforced plastic producing method has a step for obtaining a material (A) including a prepreg base material in which a region (B), where reinforcing fibers pulled and aligned in one direction are impregnated with a matrix resin and a plurality of cuts (b) are formed, and a region (C), where a plurality of cuts (c) are formed, are alternately formed in a direction orthogonal to a fiber axis of the reinforcing fiber, a step for hot-pressing the material (A) while moving the material (A) under specific conditions, and a step for cooling the pressed material (A) to obtain the fiber-reinforced plastic.

An object of the present invention is to provide an apparatus and a method for manufacturing a windable carbonaceous material sheet, which is obtained by continuously curing a long uncured fiber sheet which is obtained by using short fibers to make paper and which contains uncured resin to produce a resin-impregnated cured sheet, and then continuously carbonizing it, and its production process.For the object, a long uncured fiber sheet (1a) is conveyed by conveyance means which is equipped with one rotation belt set (2) comprising a drive roll (2a), a follower roll (2b), and an endless belt (2c) which is put on and around these rolls (2a, 2b). A resin-impregnated cured sheet (1b) is produced by heating and pressurizing the uncured fiber sheet (1a) by resin curing means (3) which is arranged so as to nip the uncured fiber sheet through the endless belt (2c). Further, the resin-impregnated cured sheet is continuously conveyed in a horizontal direction, and then is carbonized by the apparatus for manufacturing a carbonaceous material sheet which is equipped with a carbonization treatment chamber for carbonizing a carbonizing material and guide rolls which are provided in the carbonization treatment chamber, so that a carbonaceous material sheet is continuously produced. Then, this is wound up. Accordingly, production efficiency is remarkably improved, and its handling property and conveying property are excellent.

A chopped fiberglass containing laminate for fabricating sound absorbing moldable structures, such an automotive headliner is provided. The laminate includes a nonwoven fine denier thermoplastic fiber scrim, a thermoplastic barrier film on one surface and a layer of chopped fiberglass and powder adhesive on the exposed surface of the barrier film. The laminate is combined with a foam core, fiberglass layer and decorative fabric on the fiberglass layer to provide a composite having elongation exceeding 30% in both machine and transverse directions for forming the headliner. An apparatus and method for forming the laminate are so disclosed.

A waterproof material is disclosed herein which is obtainable by laminating many sheets of a photo-setting type fiber reinforced thermosetting resin composition comprising a resin composition containing a thermosetting resin, a photopolymerization initiator and a thickener, and a fiber reinforced material, or by laminating plural sheets of a synthetic polymer, and a waterproof application method using the waterproof material is also disclosed herein. According to the present invention, the waterproof layer can be formed on the surface of a civil engineering works or a building in a short time of about 30 minutes by a few steps without polluting a working environment. Furthermore, the waterproof layer, needless to say, has water resistance, weathering resistance, anticorrosion and substrate adhesion. In addition, it is further excellent in follow-up properties to cracks of the substrate, and walking on the waterproof layer is possible.
