    摘要: A direct current brushless electric motor has a rotor, and a stator with inwardly extending teeth, between each pair of which a winding slot is defined. The radially inward face of each tooth has a dummy slot shaped so the reluctance forces between rotor and stator due to the presence of the dummy slots are the same as those due to the winding slots. Motor control arrangement incorporates a current feedback loop based on the incoming phase of each phase combination in the phase energization sequence in a driving mode and phase changeover may be initiated by Hall devices, two for each transition point, underlying the axial ends of the rotor magnets. The control arrangement may incorporate a pulse width modulation power supply permitting the establishment of bias currents under motor standstill conditions.

    摘要: Method for electroplating non-metallic surfaces on a substrate, e.g. of plating holes in metal clad laminates, is disclosed. Metallic sites are formed on the surface and the resulting site-containing surface is electroplated by means of an electroplating bath comprising a component which causes the plating to preferentially occur at said sites in comparison to the plating on surfaces of the same metal as the one plated out; whereby a rate differential of the plating-reaction on site-surfaces is achieved with respect to the plating-reaction on a surface consisting of the metal to be plated out.

    摘要: In a power supply system, an inductance L is connected between a rail at a voltage V.sub.1 and a rail at earth through a switch S. When the switch is opened, a current i.sub.2 flowing from the inductance L is directed to a third rail through a diode D, voltage on the third rail rising to V.sub.2. The system may function as a dc to dc converter with an output voltage between the V.sub.1 rail and V.sub.2 rail equal to V.sub.2 -V.sub.1. The system may alternatively be used in, for example, a reluctance motor drive, in which case a further inductance with associated switch and diode is included in the circuit in inverse configuration to prevent excessive voltage rise on the third rail.

    摘要: A brushless tachometer in which output signal switching is achieved using field effect transistors and which is capable of achieving linearity over a broad range, particularly the zero speed region. According to a preferred embodiment, the brushless tachometer is operated in a current mode as part of the servo loop to substantially reduce tachometer voltage switching requirements. A ROM can be used to control commutation switching. Commutation is preferable line-to-neutral to reduce ripple.

The protective coating comprises resins dissolved in solvents, wherein the coating upon being subjected to heat goes from a high viscosity solution to a gel and then to a solid or from a soft "gel-like" state into a solid. The protective coating is resistant to copper electroplating baths, adheres to insulating substrates, adhesive coated base materials as well as metallic substrates and is capable of withstanding the thermal shock of dip soldering.
