摘要: A color liquid crystal display device contains a color filter substrate, a counterelectrode substrate disposed to oppose the color filter substrate via a sealing material disposed in contact with peripheral portions of the color filter substrate and the counterelectrode substrate, and a liquid crystal layer sealed between the color filter substrate and the counterelectrode substrate and surrounded by the sealing material. The color filter substrate contains a transparent substrate, a black matrix and a plurality of colored layers of plural colors, the black matrix and the colored layers being formed in a predetermined pattern in a first region on the transparent substrate, and a resin layer having substantially same thickness as that of the black matrix and formed in a second peripheral region on the transparent substrate positioned peripherally adjacent to the first region. The sealing material is in contact with the resin layer and a black matrix portion in periphery of the first region. A method for producing the color filter substrate involves the steps for forming the resin layer having substantially the same thickness as that of the black matrix.

摘要: An object is to increase cracking rate of heavy fraction oils while producing a lessened amount of dry gases generated by the hydrogen transfer reaction and by the overcracking to obtain light fraction olefins in a high yield. A process for the fluid catalytic cracking of heavy fraction oils, which comprises steps of feeding the heavy fraction oils to a raw oil introducing portion provided at a reaction zone inlet; feeding a part of a regenerated catalyst taken out of a catalyst-regenerating zone to a catalyst introducing portion provided at a reaction zone inlet; and feeding another part of the regenerated catalyst taken out of the catalyst-regenerating zone to at least one catalyst introducing portion which is provided between the catalyst introducing portion provided at the reaction zone inlet and reaction zone outlet, the catalytic cracking in the reaction zone being carried out under conditions of a contact time of 0.1 to 3.0 sec. a reaction zone outlet temperature of 530 to 700.degree. C. and a catalyst/oil ratio of 10 to 50 wt/wt, thereby producing light fraction olefins.

摘要: A homogeneous electro rheological fluid is provided. The fluid comprises a lyotropic liquid crystalline polymer dissolved in a solvent in low concentrations in a manner in which the fluid does not exhibit a liquid crystalline state. According to the homogeneous electro rheological fluid of the present invention, the problem associated with the precipitation of particles can be circumvented. Moreover, the electro rheological fluid can provide a large difference in torque before and after the application of an electric field; therefore, exhibits good electro rheological properties.
