摘要: The present invention is directed towards a process that allows for the adjustment of hydrogen concentration in a syngas product or Fischer-Tropsch feedstock stream. In particular, the invention is identified as an improved process for producing syngas comprising a secondary chemical reaction, preferably a water gas shift reaction, that allows for the adjustment of the hydrogen concentration in a syngas product stream. Ultimately, the present invention is for an improved process for converting hydrocarbon-containing gas to liquid hydrocarbons.

摘要: The present invention provides a metal lined composite riser section for use in offshore applications featuring a traplock metal-to-composite interface to secure a plurality of structural composite overwrap layers about a metal liner assembly. Each traplock is formed with at least one annular groove or channel which has been made in the exterior surface of the metal liner assembly. The annular trap grooves may be of various geometries and may be arranged adjacent to each other to form a traplock having 2 to 8 or any number of grooves required to ensure proper adhesion between the composite overwrap layers and the metal liner assembly. A number of structural composite overwrap layers are secured about the assembly by building up alternating combinations of helical and hoop fiber windings to form a composite material. The present invention also provides a method of making composite riser sections using either a mandrel or counterweights to facilitate the composite fiber winding process.

摘要: The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of synthesis gas (i.e., a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen), typically labeled syngas. More particularly, the present invention relates to a regeneration method for a syngas catalyst. Still more particularly, the present invention relates to the regeneration of syngas catalysts using a re-dispersion technique. The re-dispersion technique involves the formation and removal of carbonyls with the active metals. The carbonyl formation and removal effectively re-disperses the catalyst metal.

摘要: A process and system for producing industrial-scale quantities of highly dispersed, thermally stable catalysts is disclosed. The process, which may be continuous production or batch production, includes mixing together the desired catalyst precursor materials, a combustible organic material and a solvent; evaporating the solvent, combusting the catalyst intermediate; and shaping final catalyst.

摘要: A drag-reducing polymer suspension is described, along with a method for manufacturing the drag-reducing polymer suspension. The drag-reducing suspension is easily transportable, non-hazardous, and easily handled. The drag-reducing suspension is manufactured by grinding an ultrahigh molecular weight polymer with a wax crystal modifier and suspending it in a suspending fluid.

摘要: A catalyst bed is made of a monolith having a plurality of pores extending through the monolith, the pores forming tortuous flow paths through the monolith. The tortuous flow paths are obtained by modifying the monolith channels with turbulence-inducing objects or means. Catalyst is disposed on the wall surfaces formed by the pores. Reactants are passed through the tortuous flow paths creating turbulent flow thereby increasing the contact of the reactants with the catalyst on the wall surfaces and the mixing across the reactant stream.
