Said apparatus is preferably s part of a non thermal equilibrium plasma generating apparatus or corona discharge assembly.

摘要： A method is provided for treating, preventing or ameliorating neoplasia in a subject. This method includes administering to the subject an amount of actein or an amount of an extract of black cohosh that contains a triterpene glycoside, which amount of the actein or black cohosh is effective to treat, prevent or ameliorate the neoplasia, in combination with an amount of a statin which is effective to treat, prevent, or ameliorate the neoplasia. Related methods for treating, preventing or ameliorating breast cancer, or liver cell neoplasia are also provided. In addition, methods for modulating a cholesterol biosynthesis pathway and a stress response pathway in a subject are provided. These methods include administering to a subject a composition comprising an anti-neoplastic synergistic amount of a statin and actein. Compositions for carrying out such methods are also provided.

摘要： The present invention provides a binding moiety which selectively binds to Sox11 protein and/or mRNA for imaging, diagnosis or prognosis of epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). Optionally, the moiety is an antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof. Advantageously, moiety comprises a further, readily detectable moiety. The invention also provides methods of imaging EOC cells as well as methods of diagnosing or prognosing EOC in an individual. A further aspect of the present invention provides a method of identifying cells associated with EOC, the method comprising analysing the pattern of gene expression in a sample of cells to be tested and comparing it to the pattern of gene expression in a sample of known lymphomas cells. Preferably, the cells to be tested are identified as EOC cells if the expression of Sox11 is up-regulated compared to normal B-cells. Preferably EOC cells are identified as improved recurrence-free survival-associated if expression of Sox11 is up-regulated compared with non-cancerous epithelial ovarian cells. Preferably, EOC cells are identified as diminished recurrence-free survival-associated if expression of Sox11 is similar to, or down-regulated, compared with non-cancerous epithelial ovarian cells.

The method further includes attaching the thermal carrier having the IC die attached thereto to an upper surface of the base of the IC package. In this manner, one or more IC dies may be attached to a standard plastic IC package without a significant impact on thermal transfer in the device and at a significant cost savings compared to ceramic IC packages.
