摘要： To provide an electrically powered brake system capable of performing a control of the braking force appropriate to a particular wheel rotational speed with high response and capable of being simplified in structure with no need to employ any hydraulic equipment and the related pipe lines, the electrically powered brake system includes an actuating unit 18 including a brake wheel 16 mounted on a vehicle wheel 1 and brake pieces 17 frictionally engageable with the brake wheel 16. A drive unit 19 is operable to translate a rotary output of an electric drive motor 20 into a rectilinear reciprocating motion by means of a ball screw mechanism 23, which rectilinear reciprocating motion is transmitted to the brake pieces 17 as a braking force. An operating unit 32 is operable to control the electric drive motor 20 according to manipulation of an operating member 31 such as, for example, a brake pedal. An anti-skid control device 35 is provided for regulating the braking force, exerted by the electric drive motor 20, in dependence on the number of revolutions of the vehicle wheel 1 during a braking effected by manipulation of the operating member 31. For a rotation detector 1 for detecting the number of revolutions of the vehicle wheel 1, the rotation detector 1 including a magnetic encoder 37 is employed.

In this construction, the controller controls so that the generator keeps rotating at around the lowest rotational speed within a range of rotational speed, the range being determined so as to include a maximum power operation region of the generator. Alternatively, the controller controls so that rotational speed of the output shaft of the gear assembly is adjusted to at around the lowest rotational speed within a range of rotational speed, the range being determined so as to include a rated power region as an upper operational limit.

摘要： A wheel bearing assembly is provided which can prevent lowering of the life of a bearing assembly due to entry of muddy water into the bearing assembly through a gap between fitting surfaces of a first inner member and a second inner member. These members are rotatably supported by mounting rolling elements between double-row raceways formed on an inner peripheral surface of an outer member and raceways formed on outer peripheral surfaces of the first and second inner members. A stem formed on the second inner member is inserted into a hole formed in the first inner member, and a tip of the stem is caulked to hold the first and second inner members in a coupled state. An annular groove is formed in an outer periphery of the stem. A seal ring is mounted in the annular groove.

摘要： A reliable brake rotor and wheel bearing assembly are proposed which make unnecessary adjustment of runout of brake rotor at the customer's factory. For runout of each of the mounting surface and back of the brake rotor itself, and runout of the side of the wheel mounting flange of the inner member to which is mounted the brake rotor, the maximum difference between the peaks of crests and troughs in each period of surface runout is restricted within a standard value, and the brake rotor is mounted to the wheel mounting flange, thereby eliminating the necessity of mounting of the brake rotor and adjustment of runout after mounting at the customer's factory to provide a reliable automotive wheel bearing assembly.

摘要： A tire wheel bearing apparatus comprises an outer member having multi rows of track surfaces integrally provided on an inner periphery, an inner member having a tire wheel mounting flange provided at one end thereof, a cylindrical small diameter step portion provided at another end thereof and double-rows of track surfaces formed on the inner wheels force fitted to the small diameter step portion so as to oppose to the track surfaces of the outer member, and double-rows of rolling elements respectively interposed between the track surfaces in the outer member and the inner member, the inner wheels being fixed to the inner member by radially outwardly caulking the end portion of the small diameter step portion of the inner member, the track surfaces in the outer member and the inner member and the rolling elements has a contact angle with a bearing clearance being set to be negative.
