    摘要: The present invention is a coring unit adapted to be engaged to an articulated arm, to reduce the labor necessary for on-site coring of sewage and water pipes. The coring unit includes a frame containing the components of the unit, which include a coring bit, a coring bit motor, a traverse mechanism, and a stabilizer for allowing ready orientation of the coring unit with respect to an object being cored. The unit may also be provided with a traverse motor for driving the coring bit into an object being cored, and for withdrawing the coring bit once a core has been formed. The coring unit may additionally be adapted to allow for remote operation of the coring unit.

    摘要: An electronic location code (eLC) is described that provides location information for an object. The eLC is capable of high levels of accuracy, but uses a relatively low data volume for expressing such high levels of accuracy. Moreover, the eLC may easily be adjusted to represent lower levels of accuracy, when high levels of accuracy are not available or required. The eLC has a standardized format that allows easy transmission, sharing, and storage between a plurality of users. Due to these and other features, the eLC provides many advantages and possibilities for the use of location data, and, for example, allows for individual tracking of locations of a huge number of items.

    摘要: A robot system, operable to perform a task, is integrated on a robot with a sensor, a control module, and a virtual world. The virtual world represents a generic continuum including a collection of information replicating the spatial and temporal properties of a number of articles and related circumstances in an environment of the robot system. As the virtual world provides a common space-time reference for all of the articles, including the robot system itself, the robot system may perform its task in an efficient and robust manner. For example, the robot may move about its environment without colliding with the other articles. Further, the virtual world may include predicted information about the articles, including an anticipated position or condition of the article at a particular time. In this way, the robot system may perform its task in a timely manner, since its operations can be synchronized with the other articles and an idle time may be reduced.

    摘要: A jacket for an enameled vessel with a lower outlet nozzle is described comprising an upper weld ring welded along the outer circumference of the vessel, and comprising a lower weld ring surrounding the lower outlet nozzle, and also the jacket as such. The upper weld ring is conically tapering to its lower end, and the lower end of the lower weld ring is shaped cylindrically. Therefore, the upper end of the jacket can be easily welded with the outer side of the lower end of the upper weld ring, since the lower end of the jacket can be moved into a proper position along the cylindrical end of the lower weld ring.
