摘要: Methods and systems for detecting an energy emission event are provided. In a method for detecting an energy emission event, a reference event signal is compared with a received event signal. In some embodiments, the reference event signal is associated with radiated energy having a predetermined temporal response. A detection signal is output when the received event signal corresponds to the reference event signal. In response to outputting the detection signal, imagery of a location in proximity to where the received event signal originated is captured or processed. Using the captured imagery and the detection signal, a determination of where the received event signal originated is made.

摘要: A dilution apparatus for diluting a gas sample. The apparatus includes a sample gas conduit having a sample gas inlet end and a diluted sample gas outlet end, and a sample gas flow restricting orifice disposed proximate the sample gas inlet end connected with the sample gas conduit and providing fluid communication between the exterior and the interior of the sample gas conduit. A diluted sample gas conduit is provided within the sample gas conduit having a mixing end with a mixing space inlet opening disposed proximate the sample gas inlet end, thereby forming an annular space between the sample gas conduit and the diluted sample gas conduit. The mixing end of the diluted sample gas conduit is disposed at a distance from the sample gas flow restricting orifice. A dilution gas source connected with the sample gas inlet end of the sample gas conduit is provided for introducing a dilution gas into the annular space, and a filter is provided for filtering the sample gas. The apparatus is particularly suited for diluting heated sample gases containing one or more condensable components.

摘要: An application can use native field structures, which can store information such as “Creation Date of the Document”, “Formula”, a specially formatted number, a reference to text in another part of the document. Fields are commonly used for document automation, so that the application itself can include certain information among the contents of the document, with possibly no extra user intervention required. Thus a way can be provided to save this field definition information in a markup language (ML) document without data loss. When the format is stored in a markup language, other applications can validate the document stored in accordance with the native format. The other applications can represent the information in accordance to the degree to which they are aware of the unique properties of the application used to generate the document.

摘要: A variable true time delay line (100) includes an RF transmission line (110) and at least one fluidic delay unit (108). The fluidic delay unit includes a fluidic dielectric contained in a cavity (109) and coupled to the RF transmission line (110) along at least a portion of a length thereof. At least one pump is provided for adding and removing the fluid dielectric to the cavity (109) in response to a time delay control signal. A propagation delay of the RF transmission line is selectively varied by adding and removing the fluid dielectric from the cavity.

摘要: A thermal mixer reduces the temperature of flue gas supplied to a fabric filter. Two spray dry absorbers are operable to cool flue gas. A housing of the mixer has first and second inlet passages for gas from the absorbers, an outlet passage for gas to the fabric filter, and a mixing passage. A set of damper vanes extends in the mixing passage and has a mixing position for mixing the flue gases from the inlet passages to supply mixed gas to the outlet passage at relatively high pressure drop but lower temperature if one of the absorbers in not operating. They have a non-mixing position for passage of gases without mixing and at low pressure drop when both absorbers are operating. The invention can also be used to improve mixing of combined gas streams initially having different chemical compositions or amounts of particle loading.
