Abstract:
A method of controlling a vehicle braking system, includes: (i) detecting whether a collision has occurred; (ii) detecting whether a predetermined condition follows the collision; (iii) determining whether a driver has applied the brakes; and (iv) when a driver has not applied the brakes, autonomously initiating braking.

Abstract:
A method and system for providing braking assistance in a motor vehicle after an initial collision involves detecting an initial collision, pre-charging a brake system, detecting an intent to brake on the part of a driver, and providing assistance to a braking process by means of a braking assistance system on the basis of the detection of the initial collision and the detection of intent to brake on the part of the driver.
Abstract:
A digital data storage unit, such as tape library, has a multiplicity of storage media slots, each storage media slot for receiving a storage media, such as a tape, one or more of data transfer drives, such as tape drives, for writing data to and reading data from the storage media, a robotic device to transport the storage media between the slots or between the drives and the slots, at least one interface bridge which is connected to one or more host computers to one or more tape drives and to the robotic device, the interface bridge is performing bridging and switching operations for commands sent by the host on the basis of sub addresses, such as LUN, to send robotic mover commands to the robotic device, wherein the tape drives are addressed by main address, such as SCSI ID.
Abstract:
A method for generating a carrier frequency-modulated signal for the evaluation of n>2 photoelectric measurement signals which are generated by imaging a structured surface onto a spatial frequency filter and are phase-shifted with respect to one another is distinguished by the fact that the amplitudes of the measurement signals are serially interrogated in a predetermined interrogation cycle with a constant clock rate, and a sinusoidal signal is formed by filtering from the signal train, the carrier frequency of which signal is determined by the time for an interrogation cycle.
