Abstract:
A method and system for performing three-dimensional holographic microscopy of an optically trapped one dimensional structure. The method and system use an inverted optical microscope, a laser source which generates a trapping laser beam wherein the laser beam is focused by an objective lens into a plurality of optical traps. The method and system also use a collimated laser at an imaging wavelength to illuminate the structure created by the optical traps. Imaging light scattered by the optically tapped structure forms normalized intensity holograms that are imaged by a video camera and analyzed by optical formalisms to determine light field to reconstruct 3-D images for analysis and evaluation.
Abstract:
Holographic optical traps using the forces exerted by computer-generated holograms to trap, move and otherwise transform mesoscopically textured materials. The efficacy of the present invention is based upon the quality and nature of the diffractive optical element used to create the traps and dynamically use them. Further a landscape of potential energy sites can be created and used to manipulate, sort and process objects.
Abstract:
Provided is a portable electronic device having a removable hard disk drive in which the hard disk drive is adapted to have a slot-type removable shape, thereby allowing the hard disk drive to be conveniently mounted and used, and when the hard disk drive is detached, power is cut off before detaching the hard disk drive, and when the hard disk drive is mounted, power is automatically supplied after the hard disk drive is completely mounted, thereby preventing damage by a voltage shock. The device includes: a case having a mounting opening on one side thereof, the mounting opening connected to a mounting space inside the case, thereby providing a passage to the mounting space, and the mounting space having a connector disposed on the bottom of the inside of the mounting space; a hard disk drive slidingly inserted into the mounting space through the mounting opening of the case, and having terminals which become in contact with the connector when the hard disk drive is completely mounted; and a power switching unit sensing an operation for attaching or detaching the hard disk drive, thereby cutting off power before detaching the hard disk drive and providing power after mounting the hard disk drive.

Abstract:
A method for discharging a in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display panel including: providing a color filter substrate and a thin film transistor substrate; forming a liquid crystal layer between the color filter substrate and the thin film transistor substrate thus to form a liquid crystal display panel; and discharging at least one surface of the liquid crystal display panel.
Abstract:
An array substrate for in-plane switching (IPS) mode liquid crystal display (LCD) device includes a gate line and a common line in a horizontal direction on a substrate, a data line crossing the gate line and the common line, a pixel electrode and a common electrode on the substrate, and a thin film transistor at a crossing point of the gate line and the data line, the thin film transistor having a gate electrode, an active layer and source and drain electrodes, the gate electrode having a slope that satisfies a numeral expression |θR−θg|=89°˜91° (degree) wherein θR is an angle of a rubbing direction measured from an arbitrary horizontal line and θg is an angle of the slope of the gate electrode measured from the arbitrary horizontal line.

A chip-sized semiconductor package having a semiconductor chip formed with bonding pads; a circuit board provided with contact pads for electrically connecting the circuit board to external terminals, and circuit patterns for electrically connecting the circuit board to the chip; a tape bonding the circuit board to the chip; and wires electrically connecting the circuit board to the bonding pads on the chip; the package being encapsulated by a molding compound so that a part of a surface of the circuit board where the contact pads are formed is exposed.
Abstract:
A rebound resilient golf ball having an core layer or layers with one or more cores, a scuff resistant cover of thermoplastic polyurethane surrounding the core layer or layers, and optionally a mantle layer positioned between the cover and the core layer or layers. The cover is made from a dendritic thermoplastic polyurethane that includes an isocyanate monomer and a hyper branched polyol, optional additional polyols, and one or more chain extenders. An optional mantle layer may also be made of thermoplastic polyurethane, particularly a dendritic thermoplastic polyurethane.
