摘要:
A method and system for separating noise from speech in real time is provided to improve intelligibility of speech for a variety of communications devices and hearing aids. From a speech signal, a plurality of frame-level features are extracted and form the input to the classifier. The classifier is a deep neural network comprising multiple hidden layers and an output layer with multiple output units. The classifier classifies the speech into a plurality of time-frequency units simultaneously. The classifier output constitutes an estimated ideal binary mask from which a fast gammatone filter bank is used to resynthesize the separated speech into an enhanced speech waveform.

The lawn sprinkler system utilizes a single impulse type sprinkler head and at least one (preferably a series of) ground anchor receptacle(s) for the single sprinkler head. The ground anchors are permanently placed as desired, with the single sprinkler head and water supply hose being moved from one ground anchor to another to complete the watering task. Each ground anchor is provided with indicators to indicate the stop settings for the impulse sprinkler head when installed at that location. The user installs the sprinkler head with its attached hose in the selected ground anchor, and sets the sprinkler head stops in accordance with the indicators on the ground anchor. When the watering has been accomplished at that location, the water is turned off, the sprinkler head moved to another anchor, its stops are adjusted, and the water turned on to continue the process.

A sensor for physiological constituent detection may be adapted to include a mucoadhesive. A sensor is provided that is appropriate for use on mucosal tissue. The mucoadhesive provides a mechanism for holding the sensor on the mucous membrane in order to measure physiological constituent levels in the tissue and blood.

Systems and methods are disclosed herein for maintaining the calibration of non-invasive blood pressure monitoring devices. Phase components of pulse signals detected by the blood pressure monitoring device are compared to stored baseline phase component values. If the difference exceeds a threshold, the blood pressure monitoring device is recalibrated.

A monitoring system is disclosed for in vivo monitoring of preselected physiological parameters associated with acute and/or chronic tissue compromise or failure in one or multiple tissue/organ sites in real time. In one method, a body portion of a surgical stapling device is positioned adjacent a first tissue section, an anvil assembly adapted to engage the body portion is positioned adjacent a second tissue section, and a monitoring device is positioned adjacent the first and/or second tissue sections. The monitoring device includes a sensor adapted to measure a preselected physiological parameter and a transmitter for transmitting signal to an extracorporeal receiving unit. The surgical stapling device is fired to mechanically secure the first and second tissue sections with at least one staple and the preselected physiological parameter is monitored via the information transmitted from the monitoring device to the receiving unit.
