摘要: A dual-injector fuel injection engine includes a cylinder block, a cylinder head, an intake port, an intake manifold, a surge tank, an in-cylinder injector, an intake pipe injector, and first and second delivery pipes. The in-cylinder injector is positioned below the intake port, when seen from an axial direction of a crank shaft, and attached to the cylinder head. The intake pipe injector and the second delivery pipe are supported above the intake port, when seen from the axial direction of the crank shaft, by the intake manifold to be close to the intake port.

摘要: An improved combustion chamber configuration for a direct injected internal combustion engine. The cylinder head recess and piston head are configured so as to provide a small clearance volume and accordingly high compression ratios while the shape of the piston head and the arrangement of the cylinder head recess permits a portion of the injected fuel to be directed toward the exhaust valves to cool them and reduce smoke and increase fuel efficiency.

摘要: A combustion chamber and injection strategy for a direct injected internal combustion engine. The combustion chamber is formed with a relatively flat surface across substantially the entire head of the piston to provide a large surface area on which fuel can collect and evaporate. Fuel is injected earlier under lower speed and midrange running than with prior art type of constructions so that the fuel will be longer in the cylinder and have a better chance to vaporize. However, the spray orientation, pattern and timing is such that even though fuel is injected before the exhaust valves are closed at the higher speeds and loads, the fuel will not pass out of the exhaust system.

摘要: A combustion chamber arrangement for a direct fuel injected internal combustion engine wherein the combustion chamber is formed in part by a recess in the piston head. Fuel is injected into the combustion chamber so as to be introduced on one side of the recess with a spark plug being positioned so that its gap lies diametrically opposite the fuel injector. An arrangement is provided for introducing a swirl to the flow of fuel and the combustion chamber recess is canted so that its lower surface is deeper where the fuel first enters then on the other side so as to improve flame propagation and complete combustion while maintaining a high compression ratio.

摘要: For the purpose of utilizing as a sinter raw material a rolling mill sludge with a grease deposit having a high moisture content, which is deposited in a waste water pit of a steel rolling mill, the moisture content of said rolling mill sludge is reduced to from about 1% to 10% by drying said rolling mill sludge at a temperature of from about 120.degree. C to about 200.degree. C, preferably of about 140.degree. C to about 150.degree. C, with the use of the waste heat of a sinter cooler of a sintering machine, or by mixing said rolling mill sludge with a mill scale of a low moisture content collected without the use of roll cooling water; and then, said rolling mill sludge, the moisture content of which has thus been reduced, is continuously fed, by cutting into substantially equal batches, to at least one of a sinter discharge section, an entry section of said sinter cooler, belt-conveyor for fines return provided adjacent to a hot screen, and a return hopper of said sintering machine; whereby said grease deposit is substantially completely removed through combustion or evaporation with the use of the heat of the sinter produced by said sintering machine.
