摘要: A dual-injector fuel injection engine includes a cylinder block, a cylinder head, an intake port, an intake manifold, a surge tank, an in-cylinder injector, an intake pipe injector, and first and second delivery pipes. The in-cylinder injector is positioned below the intake port, when seen from an axial direction of a crank shaft, and attached to the cylinder head. The intake pipe injector and the second delivery pipe are supported above the intake port, when seen from the axial direction of the crank shaft, by the intake manifold to be close to the intake port.

摘要: A cooling system for an internal combustion engine able to realize a cooling effect matching a distribution of incoming heat of a cylinder liner. A plurality of annular grooves are formed on an outer surface of the cylinder liner, and a passage connecting the annular grooves is also provided. An introducing passage part is formed between an inlet passage of a coolant and the uppermost annular groove. A curved portion is provided to the introducing passage part. A flow direction of the coolant flowing into the introducing passage part is smoothly changed so as to flow along a direction of a passage connecting the annular grooves. An amount of coolant flowing into the annular grooves located lower than the uppermost annular groove is increased appropriately.

摘要: A cooling system for an internal combustion engine eliminate stagnation of a coolant flowing in a plurality of annular passages formed between a cylinder block and a cylinder liner along a circumference of an outer surface of the cylinder linear. Inflow and outflow passages, connected to the annular passages, are provided extending in a direction of an axis of the cylinder liner. An inlet passage, supplying a coolant to the inflow passage, is provided. A guiding member is provided at an entrance of each of the annular passages so as to lead a portion of a coolant to an upstream side of each of the annular passages. Sufficient amount of coolant flows through the annular passages of the cylinder linear, and thus the wall of the cylinder liner can be cooled efficiently.

摘要: A direct cylinder injection-type spark ignition internal combustion engine is disclosed. The engine comprises a spark plug, a cavity formed in the top surface of a piston, and a fuel injection valve for injecting fuel into the cavity in nearly the shape of a fan having a relatively small thickness. When the fuel injected in nearly the shape of a fan from the fuel injection valve is considered by being divided into a plurality of fuel segments in a radial direction, a side wall of the cavity has a first fuel deflection passage 82a and a second fuel deflection passage 82b for so deflecting at least two of the plurality of fuel segments as to pass near the spark plug. The side wall of the cavity is at least partly provided with a return portion 83 that protrudes toward the inside of the cavity. The first fuel deflection passage is not provided with the return portion 83 or is provided with the return portion having a short protrusion, and the second fuel deflection passage is provided with the return portion 83 having a long protrusion.

摘要: A direct fuel injection-type spark-ignition internal combustion engine is disclosed. The engine comprises a spark plug, a fuel injector and a cavity formed on the top surface of the piston. The cavity has a bottom wall, a spark plug side wall and a fuel injector side wall. The fuel injector injects fuel toward the bottom wall of the cavity in stratified charge combustion. The fuel mainly proceeds toward the spark plug side wall of the cavity along the bottom wall, is deflected by the spark plug side wall and is led to the vicinity of the spark plug. In the engine, the fuel injector side wall of the cavity is provided with a deflecting portion. If a part of the injected fuel proceeds toward the fuel injector side wall along the bottom wall of the cavity, that part of the fuel is led to the vicinity of the spark plug by the deflecting portion.
