Abstract: A method for producing a fiber composite laminate, including the steps of applying pressure and/or heat to a first preform, which has one or more dry fiber layers and a thermoplastic elastomer, such that the thermoplastic portion of the thermoplastic elastomer completely impregnates the dry fiber layers of the first preform in at least one first region and only partially impregnates the dry fiber layers in at least one second region and, in a thermosetting polymer matrix, impregnating and curing the fiber layers of the second region of the first preform that are still dry and have not been impregnated with the thermoplastic portion of the thermoplastic elastomer.

Abstract: A sandwich component has a first cover layer, a second cover layer, and a core disposed therebetween. In the sandwich component, the cover layers are each formed from an outer layer made of a fiber-reinforced thermoplast material having greater resistance to a certain solvent and, fused therewith, an inner layer made of a thermoplast material having lower resistance to the solvent. The core has outer layers, each of which is formed from a thermoplast material having lower resistance to the solvent, and an inner structure, which is formed entirely or partially from a thermoplast material having greater resistance to the solvent. The inner layers of the cover layers were each fused with one of the outer layers of the core with the use of the solvent.

Abstract: A device for processing items, in particular items in a production sequence, in different processing steps, has at least one sensor arrangement having a plurality of sensors, wherein at least one item is measured in a detection mode by at least a partial quantity of the sensors as the detection means, wherein an impacting of the at least one item with an irradiation means is determined by a control means while considering a result of the measuring procedure of the at least one item; and wherein the at least one item is irradiated in an irradiation mode by at least a further partial quantity of the plurality of sensors as the irradiation means. If appropriate, at least part of the method is repeated with a renewed measuring, determination and/or irradiation.

Abstract: A method for producing a sandwich panel with a reinforced foam core includes inserting rod-shaped, thermoplastic reinforcing elements into a thermoplastic foam material such that the reinforcing elements extend through the foam material. End regions of the reinforcing elements project out of the foam material. The foam material is thermoformed to form a reinforced foam core, wherein the end regions of the reinforcing elements are integrally formed by applying temperature and pressure to the cover surfaces of the foam material and are bonded to the foam material in a fused connection. A thermoplastic cover layer is laminated on either side by applying temperature and pressure to the reinforced foam core on the cover surfaces of the foam material in order to form the sandwich panel, wherein the cover layers are bonded to the reinforced foam core in a fused connection.

Abstract: A fiber composite laminate having one or more fiber layers, comprising a first laminate region and a second laminate region. In the first laminate region, the fiber layers of the fiber composite laminate are impregnated with a thermoplastic elastomer material. In the second laminate region, fiber layers of a first lamina of the fiber composite laminate are impregnated with the thermoplastic elastomer matrix, and fiber layers of at least one second lamina of the fiber composite laminate that is positioned on top of the first lamina are impregnated with a thermosetting polymer matrix.

Abstract: A sandwich component and method of producing the sandwich component are provided wherein the sandwich component has a first cover layer, a second cover layer, and a core disposed therebetween. In the sandwich component, the cover layers are each formed from an outer layer made of a fiber-reinforced high-melting-point thermoplast material and, fused therewith, an inner layer made of a low-melting-point thermoplast material. The core has outer layers, each of which is formed from a low-melting-point thermoplast material, and an inner structure, which is formed entirely or partially from a high-melting-point thermoplast material. The inner layers of the cover layers were each fused with one of the outer layers of the core.

Abstract: A fiber composite laminate having one or more fiber layers, comprising a first laminate region and a second laminate region. In the first laminate region, the fiber layers of the fiber composite laminate are impregnated with a thermoplastic elastomer material. In the second laminate region, fiber layers of a first lamina of the fiber composite laminate are impregnated with the thermoplastic elastomer matrix, and fiber layers of at least one second lamina of the fiber composite laminate that is positioned on top of the first lamina are impregnated with a thermosetting polymer matrix.
