摘要： A motor vehicle drive system controller is adapted to automatic drive control, the engine and the transmission being among the objects of control. The power output of the motor is controlled so as to maintain either a consistent drivable mode or a consistent undrivable mode as the automatic transmission shifts gears while the vehicle is running under automatic drive control. The consistent drivable mode refers to a state where the output torque of the motor is greater than the sum of the average running resistance and the variation in the running resistance and the consistent undrivable mode refers to a state where the output torque of the motor is smaller than the difference of the average running resistance and the variation in the running resistance. The automatic drive control function is prohibited when the controller detects abnormality in the transmission.

摘要： Apparatus for estimating a drive mode of a motor vehicle desired by an operator of the motor vehicle, including a variable calculating device and a drive mode estimating device, wherein the variable calculating device calculates at least one of drive mode indicating variables such as a drive force of the vehicle desired by the operator upon starting of the vehicle, a maximum rate of increase of the drive force, a maximum deceleration of the vehicle upon operation of a manually operated member for brake application to the vehicle, a coasting run time of the vehicle and a steady run time of the vehicle, and wherein the drive mode estimating device includes a neural network which receives the drive mode indicating variable or variables calculated by the variable calculating device, so that the drive mode estimating device estimates the drive mode of the motor vehicle desired by the operator on the basis of an output of the neural network. The output of the neural network may be used to control a desired controllable system of the vehicle such as an automatic transmission and a vehicle drive force control device.

摘要： A primary regulator valve has a cutback port which regulates a line pressure to increase, at the first speed of D range, a throttle pressure is applied to the cutback port through a cutback valve. The primary regulator valve sets the line pressure from a line pressure port higher. The cutback valve has a spool which is compressed in one direction. A first control chamber which is connected to a hydraulic servo (for example, a second brake hydraulic servo) which hydraulic pressure is applied at more than the second speed is formed against the pressing direction, a second control chamber which is connected to a hydraulic servo (for example, a second-coast brake hydraulic servo) to limit a coasting condition of the second speed is so formed as to follow the above pressing direction. At the second speed of second range, the cutback valve, as the first speed of D range, the throttle pressure is applied to the cutback port. Furthermore, the primary regulator valve has a control chamber which regulates the line pressure to decrease. A pressure control valve (for example, a linear solenoid valve to control a lock-up clutch) is connected to the control chamber to reduce the line pressure when a manual valve is selected from N range to D or R range.
