Abstract: A system for determining a state of health (SOH) of an energy storage device comprises a controller configured to be coupled to the energy storage device. The controller is configured to determine a current value drawn by or supplied to the energy storage device over a predefined period of time. In response to the current value not satisfying a current threshold, the controller determines a current gain factor and determines an adjusted current value from the determined current value based on the current gain factor. The controller is configured to determine an estimated SOH of the energy storage device based on the adjusted current value, and indicate the estimated SOH on a user interface.

Abstract: A system for controlling a vehicle speed of a vehicle is described. The system comprises a motor, a vehicle speed sensor, a vehicle speed governor, and a controller. The motor is configured to provide an output torque for driving the vehicle. The vehicle speed sensor provides a vehicle speed signal corresponding to the vehicle speed. The vehicle speed governor has a vehicle speed limit for the vehicle, where the vehicle speed governor adjusts the vehicle speed limit according to a desired direction of travel of the vehicle and a load corresponding to the motor. The desired direction of travel is selectable by an operator of the vehicle. The controller is configured to adjust the output torque of the motor according to the vehicle speed limit and the vehicle speed signal.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems for controlling regenerative braking of a vehicle are disclosed. A user interface facilitates a user to provide an input to select an operating mode for the vehicle, the operating mode selected from one of selectable modes comprising: (i) manually controlled regenerative braking mode and (ii) automatically controlled regenerative braking mode. When the (i) mode is selected, the controller applies a scaling factor to the regenerative torque capability curve of the vehicle based on additional user input. When the (ii) mode is selected, the controller automatically applies the scaling factor based on one or more traction control events and environmental factors.

Abstract: Methods and systems for operating a vehicle on a reduced traction surface are disclosed. A controller of the vehicle obtains at least one of: ambient information or GPS information, determines a derate increment size based on the ambient or GPS information, imposes a sustained derate by applying a torque limit on a braking torque of the vehicle based on the derate increment size in response to detecting a traction control event. The controller also determines a verification period and a derate reduction period based on the ambient or GPS information to reduce the sustained derate in response to detecting a lack of traction control event during the verification period at a rate determined by the derate reduction period.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a sensor module, an offset diagnostic module, and a notification module. The sensor module is in operative communication with a cylinder pressure sensor and structured to acquire cylinder pressure data from the cylinder pressure sensor indicative of an actual in-cylinder pressure of a cylinder of an engine. The offset diagnostic module is structured to interpret the cylinder pressure data to determine an offset of the cylinder pressure sensor based on a reference in-cylinder pressure and the actual in-cylinder pressure. The notification module is structured to provide an offset error notification responsive to the offset being greater than a threshold offset.

Abstract: An apparatus structured to control an electric vehicle accessory of an electric vehicle during a charge event includes a controller communicatively coupled to a battery and an electric vehicle accessory. The controller is structured to determine that the battery of an electric vehicle is undergoing a charge event, and based on determining that the battery of the electric vehicle is undergoing the charge event, place the electric vehicle accessory in an on-state during the charge event, and cause the electric vehicle accessory to recharge by absorbing energy from the charging station during the charge event.
