    Abstract: In an apparatus for controlling a motorized vehicle, a rotary electric machine controller is configured to perform intermittent operation by periodically alternating between a driving period and a coasting period. A torque determiner is configured to determine a first torque during the driving period and a second torque during the coasting period. A transition period determiner is configured to determine whether to set a transition period between the driving period and the coasting period. If the transition period is determined to be set, the torque determiner determines a third torque between the first torque and the second torque and within a predetermined rang. The rotary electric machine controller sets the transition period between the driving period and the coasting period and drive the rotary electric machine with the third torque during the transition period.

    Abstract: In an apparatus for controlling a motorized vehicle equipped with a main rechargeable battery, electrical loads electrically connected to the main rechargeable battery via a voltage converter, a converter operating point setter is configured to, when current is passing between the main rechargeable battery and the electrical loads, based on a charging/discharging amount of the main rechargeable battery, set operating points of the voltage converter, each specifying a power conversion efficiency representing a ratio of input power to the electrical loads to output power of the main rechargeable battery and an output current of the voltage converter. A converter controller is configured to, based on the operating point set by the converter operating point setter, cause the voltage converter to convert the voltage of the main rechargeable battery, thereby supplying power to the electrical loads.

    Abstract: A vehicle control apparatus includes a first control section that shifts a vehicle from a normal running state to a coasting state by disengaging the clutch device of the vehicle when a predetermined execution condition is satisfied, a second control section that releases the coasting state when a brake operation or an accelerator operation is performed by a vehicle driver while the vehicle is in the coasting state, and an operation amount determination section that determines whether or not an operation amount of a brake operation or an accelerator operation performed while the vehicle is in the coasting state exceeds a release threshold. The second control section releases the coasting state if the operation amount is determined to exceed the release threshold, and does not release the coasting state if the operation amount is determined not to exceed the release threshold.

    Abstract: A restart control device is applied to a vehicle which is provided with an internal combustion engine, an electric motor, a driving wheel, and a clutch. The restart control device has a restart-condition determining portion which determines whether a restart condition for restarting the internal combustion engine is established while the vehicle is coasting; a push-start portion which starts the internal combustion engine by a push-start; a start-up portion which starts the internal combustion engine by use of an electric motor; and a doubly start-up portion which tries to start the internal combustion engine by one of the push-start portion and the start-up portion when the restart-condition determining portion determines that the restart condition is established. The doubly start-up portion tries to start the internal combustion engine by another one of the push-up portion and the start-up portion when the internal combustion engine has not been started.

    Abstract: A vehicle control device turns off a clutch to put a vehicle into an inertia operation state in response to a predetermined executing condition being met, and turns on the clutch to terminate the inertia operation state in response to a predetermined terminating condition being met during the inertia operation. The vehicle control device includes a deceleration degree calculating device, a determination device, and an operation control device. The deceleration degree calculating device calculates an actual deceleration degree. The determination device determines whether the actual deceleration degree is greater than a threshold value defined on the basis of a deceleration degree of the vehicle in an accelerator-off and clutch-on state. The operation control device terminates or maintains the inertia operation depending on a condition of the actual deceleration degree.

    Abstract: A vehicle control apparatus is applied to a vehicle including an engine as traveling drive source and a clutch device in a power transmission path connected to an output shaft of the engine. The vehicle control apparatus causes the vehicle to be in a coasting state by reducing power transmitted in the path by clutch device operation upon satisfaction of a predetermined implementation condition, and cancels coasting state by clutch device operation upon satisfaction of a predetermined coasting cancellation condition including at least an accelerator condition during coasting.     Abstract: A control apparatus sets an upper limit guard value to a base value when the MG provides torque assist to thereby limit the command value for the MG. Then, the control apparatus limits the command value for the MG using the upper limit guard value to limit the output of the MG. If an accelerator opening or the change rate thereof is not less than a predetermined value, the control apparatus corrects the upper limit guard value. The correction is made such that the larger accelerator opening or a larger change rate thereof causes the upper limit guard value to be larger to accomplish higher output. Similarly, if the SOC of the battery is not less than a predetermined value, the control apparatus corrects the upper limit guard value. If the engine speed is not less than a predetermined value, the control apparatus corrects the upper limit guard value.
