摘要:
A method and system for planning and assessing the results of high-throughput solid form screening and high-throughput formulation screening are disclosed. Also disclosed are methods and systems for using high-throughput solid form screening and high-throughput formulation screening to select compounds and formulations for further testing, or to prioritize testing.
摘要:
The present invention relates to computer-controlled automated high-throughput systems and/or computer-program products to design, prepare, process, and analyze a large number of samples having experimental formulations each containing a compound of interest formulated with differing component combinations and varying concentrations and component identities. The computer-controlled methods of the present invention allow determination of the effects of additional or inactive components, such as excipients, carriers, enhancers, adhesives, additives, and the like, on the compound of interest, such as pharmaceuticals. The invention thus encompasses the computer systems, computer methods, and computer-program products for computer-controlled automated high-throughput testing of pharmaceutical compositions or formulations in order to determine the overall optimal composition or formulation for an intended use or purpose.
摘要:
Systems and methods are described that allow the high-throughput preparation, processing, and study of arrays of samples, each of which comprises at least one compound. Particular embodiments of the invention allow a large number of experiments to be performed in parallel on samples that comprised of one or more compounds on the milligram or microgram quantities of compounds. Other embodiments of the invention encompass methods and devices for the rapid screening of the results of such experiments, as well as methods and devices for rapidly determining whether or not similarities exist among groups of samples in an array. Particular embodiments of the invention encompass methods and devices for the high-throughput preparation of different forms of compounds (e.g., different crystalline forms), for the discovery of new forms of old compounds, and for the discovery of new methods of producing such forms. Embodiments of the invention also allow for the high-throughput determination of how specific compounds or forms of compounds behave when exposed to other chemicals or environmental conditions.
摘要:
The present invention is directed to methods for identifying agents which affect cell state. The instant invention provides rapid and efficient methods for identifying agents which affect cell state. Methods are directed toward the screening of complex combinations of agents for their ability to affect cell state. In one embodiment, cells are incubated under suitable conditions and subjected to different agents. After an appropriate amount of time, the cells are assayed to determine what, if any, characteristics they possess. Cell characteristics can be organized in a manner such that different and novel cell states can be identified.

Identified experimental formulations from multiple arrays can be removed and re-arrayed together to form a new array for further processing.

摘要:
The invention concerns arrays comprising hundreds, thousands, to hundreds of thousands of samples and methods for screening thereof. These methods are useful to optimize, select, and discover compounds, compositions, or conditions that prevent, inhibit, induce, modify, or reverse physical-state transitions, particularly in-vivo physical-state transitions relating to disease causing processes. Such compounds, compositions, or conditions can be exploited to treat (e.g., reverse) or prevent the disease itself, the cause of the disease, or the symptoms of the disease.

摘要:
The present invention relates to methods and compositions for the treatment and diagnosis of immune disorders, especially T helper lymphocyte-related disorders, and also for the treatment of mast cell-related processes and disorders, ischemic disorders and injuries, including ischemic renal disorders and injuries. For example, genes which are differentially expressed within and among T helper (TH) cells and TH cell subpopulations, which include, but are not limited to TH0, TH1 and TH2 cell subpopulations are identified. Genes are also identified via the ability of their gene products to interact with gene products involved in the differentiation, maintenance and effector function of such TH cells and TH cell subpopulations. The genes identified can be used diagnostically or as targets for therapeutic intervention. In this regard, the present invention provides methods for the identification and therapeutic use of compounds as treatments of immune disorders, especially TH cell subpopulation-related disorders. Additionally, methods are provided for the diagnostic evaluation and prognosis of TH cell subpopulation-related disorders, for the identification of subjects exhibiting a predisposition to such conditions, for monitoring patients undergoing clinical evaluation for the treatment of such disorders, and for monitoring the efficacy of compounds used in clinical trials. Methods are also provided for the treatment of symptoms associated with mast cell-related processes or disorders and ischemic disorders and injuries using the genes, gene products and antibodies of the invention.
