    摘要: A gas sensor is described for detecting a physical property of a measuring gas, including detecting the oxygen concentration in the measuring gas. The gas sensor includes a sensor element having a diffusion barrier, which is arranged between a first solid electrolyte layer and a second solid electrolyte layer. The diffusion barrier has a necked-down portion, i.e., a concave profile, between the first and the second solid electrolyte layer. Accordingly, a first area, which the diffusion barrier occupies in a plane which lies between the side of the first solid electrolyte layer (facing the diffusion barrier) and the side of the second solid electrolyte layer (facing the diffusion barrier), is smaller than a second area on which the diffusion barrier covers the first or the second solid electrolyte. In order to manufacture the sensor element, a first layer made of a paste containing a pore-forming material is applied onto a blank foil, and after that, a second layer made of a paste containing a pore-forming material is applied.

    摘要: A gas sensor is provided for determining the concentration of a gas component in a measuring gas, in particular for determining the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas of internal combustion engines, which has an electrode pair situated on a solid-state electrolyte and made up of an outer pump electrode and an inner pump electrode, which is accessible to the measuring gas supplied via a diffusion barrier, the electrode pairs being triggered in a clocked manner and having a potential of varying polarity applied in each clock-pulse period. To improve the measuring precision of the gas sensor without additional electrodes, a cavity is situated between the diffusion barrier and the inner pump electrode, the cavity serving as storage volume for the oxygen pumped through the solid-state electrolyte.

    摘要: A method is presented for determining the fuel/air ratio in the individual cylinders (single cylinder lambda) of an internal combustion engine having a plurality of cylinders, whose exhaust gases mix together in a common exhaust gas pipe system, from the signal of an exhaust gas probe, whose mounting location lies in the common exhaust gas pipe system, with the aid of an invertible model for the intermixing of the exhaust gases at the mounting location of the exhaust gas probe. The method is distinguished in that, in the determination of the single cylinder lambda from the signal of the one exhaust gas probe evaluated with the aid of the inverted model, the rotational angle position of the exhaust gas probe at its mounting position is taken into consideration.

The first heater supply lead is at an at least largely constant electrical potential.

For the purpose of assembly-independent, reproducible alignment of the measuring element with respect to the test-gas flow during assembly of the sensor system, the receiving element bears an internal thread, the piercing point of which is oriented with respect to the test-gas flow, and the housing bears an external thread, which is able to be screwed into the internal thread and the piercing point of which is oriented with respect to the measuring element. The housing is fixed via a predefined tightening torque in the receiving element.
