摘要:
The wok is made from hardened glass or glass-ceramic material so that it has a cooking surface that is easier to clean than prior art metal woks. Furthermore when it is heated a better temperature distribution for cooking is produced and it can be universally heated, either by a radiantly heated body or an atmospheric gas burner. The method of making the wok starts with a glass blank or piece of borosilicate glass, which is heated until it softens and then is shaped or formed into the shape of the wok, optionally ceramicized and cooled.

The method of making a knobbed glass or glass ceramic plate includes placing a glass or glass ceramic plate on a support having knob-shaped elevations and/or depressions; jointly heating the plate and the support over a transformation temperature of the glass or glass ceramic plate and, advantageously after a certain time interval, subsequently cooling the plate to room temperature. The glass or glass ceramic plate with knobs made by the method is also part of the invention. The glass or glass ceramic plate with the knobs can be used in heating units, such as baking ovens, for thermal isolation or decoupling of differently heater spatial regions. Also it can be provided with a germ killing coating for use in an air conditioning unit to clean air.

A method for bending radiation shielding glass which has a heavy metal oxide content of at least 50% by weight is provided, wherein first a mold is provided, a glass plate comprising a radiation shielding glass is then provided, the mold is preheated to a temperature of 300 to 400° C., the glass plate is placed on the mold, the glass plate and the mold are heated in a furnace to a temperature of 370 to 430° C., then heated together to a temperature of 400° C. to 500° C., preferably to 440 to 500° C., the total heating time being at least 30 minutes, preferably at least 60 minutes, the glass plate is then molded and finally the molded glass is cooled by means of a cooling program over a period of at least 60 minutes. For thermal prestressing, the glass body is supported at least at its outer periphery at a number of support points, introduced into a preheated furnace, heated to 400 to 500° C. and then removed, and cold air is blown onto both sides from a multiplicity of nozzles, preferably until cooling to about 100° C. has taken place.

The invention relates to a protective coating for a mechanically stabile, in particular mineral and/or metallic base, comprising an inorganic polysilicate-cohesion adhesive layer which is uniformly distributed, essentially, on the base. A coating made of a glass film material having a thickness of less than 2 mm, preferably, less than 0.3 mm, is applied to the polysilicate cohesion adhesive layer prior to the hardening thereof, which covers the polysilicate-cohesion adhesive layer. According to the method for producing the protective coating, initially, the inorganic polysilicate-cohesion adhesive and the glass film material are prepared, then the cohesion adhesive is applied to the base which is to be coated and/or one side of the glass film material, and the glass film material is applied to the base which is to be coated prior to hardening of the polysilicate-cohesion adhesion layer, such that the glass film material covers the cohesion adhesion layer. Subsequently, the cohesion adhesion layer is hardened.

In order to avoid distortions or wall thickness variations in a glass wall, especially of a hollow glass body, formed by hot shaping, the hot shaping is performed by a vacuum forming or vacuum-deep drawing process. A hollow glass body and a measuring body sleeve for a neutrino detector made by this method are also described. The measuring body sleeve does not have distortions or wall thickness variations that can interfere with measurements.
