摘要: In a foreign matter detecting apparatus 1, light beams are applied to a moving plastic resin extruded from an extruder, and a foreign matter, if any, in the plastic resin is detected by transmitted light beams. First and second projectors 30a,30b of the foreign matter detecting apparatus apply a plurality of light beams with different convergence diameters to the plastic resin which is extruded and moves in a passage 18. First and second light receivers 40a,40b receive the light beams transmitted through the plastic resin, and compare their respective reception levels with a plurality of levels of light reception which are previously set corresponding to the size of the foreign matter. Based on the result of comparison, the light receivers detect the presence and size of the foreign matter involved in the plastic resin.

摘要: A method and apparatus is provided for transmitting an orthogonal frequency domain multiple access (OFDMA) signal including a synchronization channel signal transmitted within a localized portion of a bandwidth of the OFDMA signal, the synchronization channel signal having predetermined time domain symmetry within the localized portion of the bandwidth and including information for providing at least partial cell identification information. The synchronization channel signal enables an initial acquisition and cell search method with low computational load which provides OFDMA symbol timing detection and frequency error detection and frame boundary detection and cell specific information detection in an OFDMA system supporting multiple system bandwidths, both synchronized and un-synchronized systems, a large cell index and an OFDMA symbol structure with both short and long cyclic prefix length.

摘要: [Problems] To provide an apparatus for feeding resin capable of extinguishing angular traces formed at both end portions of the cutter mark or of preventing the angular traces from extending up to the side wall of the body portion of the preform at the time of forming a preform.[Means for Solution] An apparatus for feeding molten resin to a compression-molding machine, including a holding unit 17 that rotates on a track, the holding unit 17 having a pair of holders 22 and 23 capable of holding and releasing the molten resin. When the molten resin is cut by a cutter, a linear cutter mark 29 is formed on the cut surface of the resin in a direction at right angles with the direction in which the molten resin is cut. Protruded portions 32 and 33 are formed on the inner circumferential surfaces of the holders 22 and 23 to deform the end portions of the cutter mark 29 toward the inside of the cutter mark when the molten resin is held by the pair of holders 22 and 23.
