    摘要: A climate control system (26) for a cabin (22) of an electric vehicle (10) has at least one liquid-to-air heat exchanger (38) in heat exchange relation with air in the cabin and a set of control valves for selectively placing the climate control system in a cabin heating mode of operation in which hot liquid circulates through a hot liquid flow loop (42) and in a cabin cooling mode of operation in which cold liquid circulates through a cold liquid flow loop (44). An electric compressor motor (30M) is operated by electricity from a battery bank (16) for operating a refrigerant compressor (30C) to circulate refrigerant in a refrigerant loop that comprises a refrigerant-to-liquid hot side heat exchanger (32) that provides the hot liquid and a refrigerant-to-liquid cold side heat exchanger (36) that provides the cold liquid.

    摘要: In-a vehicle energy management system engine belt or engine direct driven components are replaced with electrical motors. A main fan unit is replaced with smaller single function electrical components. The larger multipurpose heat exchangers such as the vehicle radiator are replaced with smaller single function heat exchangers associated with the smaller electric fans. The energy management system may involve a main vehicle engine crankshaft mounted generator. This generator creates high voltage DC electricity. In one embodiment, the converter is a closed loop converter that makes the conversion of DC to AC alternatively turning on and off at a varying frequency in order to produce a time averaged AC output.

    摘要: A vehicle power take off system provides power for a variety of systems including a source of alternating current power for conventional electrical equipment to be powered by the vehicle. In a preferred electrical implementation, the power take off system is energized from the vehicle direct current electrical power system and generates alternating current of the desired voltage using a derectifier and step up transformer. Management of the system is implemented through modularized units which may be connected to communicate with another over a vehicle's controller area network. Load management may be monitored by an existing on board computer.

    摘要: The invention includes a trialkylsilane comprising a hydrocarbon backbone including one to ten carbon atoms; a terminal trialkylsilyl moiety having at least two alkyl groups independently comprising at least six carbon atoms; and a terminal silyl moiety that has at least one hydrolyzable group bound to a silicon of the silyl moiety. At least one of the alkyl groups of the trialkylsilyl moiety may substituted with at least one halogen, and is preferably a perfluoroalkyl group. The invention also provides methods of producing the trialysilane and substrates including the trialkysilane of the invention, as well as columns and substrates for use in chromatographic applications.

    摘要: A motor vehicle speed control system which, upon activation by the vehicle operator, maintains the vehicle at a predetermined set speed. The system utilizes a duty-cycle type pneumatic servoactuator responsive to an electrical control signal for controlling movement of the vehicle throttle. Control means responsive to deviation of vehicle speed from the predetermined set speed, is operable to vary the control signal characteristics in accordance with a predetermined governing equation and the electrical control signal is utilized to operate the servoactuator. Vehicle speed is sensed by a generator providing an electrical signal output and a control means is of the electronic type responsive to the electrical speed signal and the predetermined set speed. In one embodiment both analog-digital circuit techniques are employed for the control means and, in another embodiment, substantially all-digital circuitry is utilized.
