This makes it possible to raise the upper-limiting frequency at which the E/O (Electrical-to-Optical) response characteristic can be improved, and improve the flatness of the frequency characteristic of the E/O response without deteriorating the absolute value of the E/O response.

Specifically, at least one of the image releasing members has a first portion which is able to adhere to the hydrophobic images and a second portion which is unable to adhere to the hydrophobic images, and the image releasing members are arranged in series in order of size of the first portion from small to large along a feeding direction of the used image support. Accordingly, the image releasing members are allowed to adhere to the hydrophobic images in order of size of the first portion from small to large so that the hydrophobic images are removed from the used image support effectively. It is preferable that the image releasing member finally allowed to adhere to the hydrophobic images is a solid image releasing member.

A semiconductor package device is disclosed. In one embodiment, attached by its active face to a lead-on-chip leadframe having leadfingers is an integrated circuit. The integrated circuit has a polyimide coating on its backside. An encapsulating material surrounds the integrated circuit and the lead-on-chip leadframe so that the leadfingers are exposed. The polyimide coating on the backside of the integrated circuit helps to reduce package cracking arising from mounting the device to a printed circuit board by relflow solder.

A clock signal is generated based on the readout signal of the preformatted pits to record an information signal in the second regions, and the clock signal is retarded and used to read out data pits that are the record of the information in the second regions.
