摘要: The conventional EDFA has such problems that it is very costly since it requires an external high-energy laser diode and an optical coupling means for optically coupling the pumping light given from the laser diode, and that it must have a long length for obtaining a desired amplification degree. A constitution having an optical waveguide and an pumping light source integrated for solving the problems is also proposed, but it also has a problem in view of downsizing. This invention proposes a waveguide optical amplifier 1, in which a surface light emission source 3 for pumping driven electrically is provided adjacently to and integrally with an optical waveguide 2 doped with a light-emitting species, in the longitudinal direction of the optical waveguide.

摘要: According to one embodiment, a server device connected to a client device by way of a network includes a receiving unit, a first detecting unit, a cycle changing unit, a second detecting unit, and a transmitting unit. The receiving unit receives operation data through the network. The first detecting unit detects, from among operation events based on the received operation data, a specific operation event. The cycle changing unit, when the specific operation event is detected, changes a change detection cycle for screen data that is updated in an application in accordance with the specific operation event from a first cycle to a second cycle that is longer than the first cycle. The second detecting unit detects a change in the screen data in the second cycle. The transmitting unit transmits the screen data, in which the change is detected, to the client device.

摘要: A fuel injector 10 may comprise a valve body 14 having a fuel path, a valve seat 23 fixed to a downstream end of the valve body, and a valve 25 that opens and closes a fuel injection hole of the valve seat 23. The valve may be housed within the valve body in a manner allowing sliding. An armature 31 may be attached to an upstream end of the valve 25, and a valve closing element 32 may be attached to a downstream end of the valve 25. A core 21 may be disposed at an upstream side of the armature 31. A downstream end surface of the core 21 faces an upstream end surface of the armature 31. When the valve 25 opens the fuel injection hole, the downstream end surface of the core 21 makes contact with the upstream end surface of the armature 31. A non-magnetic ring 20 may be disposed at an outer circumference side of the armature 31 and the core 21. The non-magnetic ring 20 may extend as far as an upstream side of the solenoid coil 18, and the solenoid coil 18 may be wound directly around an outer circumference of the non-magnetic ring 20.
