摘要： Fatty (meth)acrylates having a %-EpO content of below 0.6, which are reaction products of epoxidized compounds selected from the group consisting of epoxidized fatty acid esters, epoxidized triglycerides and mixtures thereof, and acids selected from the group consisting of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid and mixtures thereof, wherein the %-EpO content of the epoxidized compound is above 6.4, wherein the epoxidized compound is an epoxidation product of fatty acid moieties having one or more carbon-carbon double bonds, wherein less than 20 mole % of the fatty acid moieties contain three or more carbon-carbon double bonds, and wherein greater than 60 mole % of the fatty acid moieties contain two carbon-carbon double bonds are useful as pigment dispersants. Pigment dispersant concentrates, aqueous pigment dispersions and methods of dispersing pigments with the fatty (meth)acrylates are described.

摘要： A polyalkylene glycol having the general formula:HO--[R--O--].sub.n Hin which n has a value of at least 2 and R is an alkylene radical containing at least 20 carbon atoms is provided. Preferred polyalkylene glycols have an alkylene radical which is a branched alkylene radical containing at least 10 carbon atoms in the main chain and a degree of polymerization such that n is from 4 to 7. The polyalkylene glycol is prepared by the acid-catalyzed polycondensation of a monomeric alkylene glycol at elevated temperature.

摘要： A new flatting agent for self-curing or radiation-curing coating systems is disclosed. The flatting agent is a liquid dimerdiol (meth)acrylate with a degree of esterification of at least 50%. The dimerdiol (meth)acrylate ester is introduced into the coating system in an amount of 1-25% by weight based on the coating system as a whole. The coating system can have additional solid flatting agents in the system.
