    摘要: A process for producing a modified conjugated diene polymer which comprises the steps of (I) polymerizing a conjugated diene in an inert organic solvent in the presence of a catalyst comprising (a) a lanthanum series rare earth element compound, (b) an organoaluminum compound represented by the general formula, Alr.sup.1 R.sup.2 R.sup.3 (wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 which may be same or different, are hydrogen atoms or hydrocarbon groups of 1 to 8 carbon atoms and at least one of R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 is said hydrocarbon group) and, if necessary, at least one member selected from the group consisting of (c) a Lewis acid and/or (d) a Lewis base, and then (II) modifying the resulting reactive polymer with a modifying compound selected from the group consisting of the following components (e), (f) and (g): (e) an organometal halide compound represented by the general formula, R.sub.n .sup.4 MX.sub.4-n (wherein R.sup.4 is an alkyl group of 1 to 20 carbon atoms or an aryl group, M is a tin or germanium atom, X is a halogen atom, and n is an integer of 1 to 3), (f) a heterocumulene compound or a three-membered heterocyclic compound having, in the molecule, a bond represented by the general formula, ##STR1## (wherein X.sup.1 is a carbon, nitrogen, oxygen or sulfur atom, Y is a carbon or sulfur atom, Z is a nitrogen, oxygen or sulfur atom, and X.sup.2 is a nitrogen, oxygen or sulfur atom), and (g) a halogen compound having, in the molecule, a bond represented by the general formula, ##STR2## (wherein Y.sup.1 is a nitrogen or oxygen atom and X is a halogen atom). Said modified conjugated diene polymer has excellent characteristics in wear resistance, heat generation, mechanical properties, etc.

    摘要: A styrene-butadiene block copolymer having a Mooney viscosity (ML.sub.1+4, 100.degree. C.) of 10 to 150 comprising two specific random styrene-butadiene copolymer blocks different in bound styrene content and in vinyl content in the butadiene portion, and optionally polybutadiene blocks, wherein the total vinyl content in the whole bound butadiene is 30 to 70% and the total bound styrene content is 10 to 40% by weight. Said block copolymer is excellent in wet skid resistance and rolling resistance, well-balanced in fracture and wear characteristics and also satisfactory in processability and cold flow property.

    摘要: A rubber composition is disclosed which contains not less than 20% by weight in a rubber component of a block copolymer composed of polymer or copolymer block units (A) and a random copolymer block units (B). The polymer or copolymer block units (A) are obtained by singly polymerizing a conjugated diolefine or copolymerizing the conjugated diolefine and a monovinyl aromatic hydrocarbon with use of a lithium initiator and contains not more than 10% by weight of the bound monovinyl aromatic hydrocarbon. The random copolymer block unit (B) are obtained by copolymerizing the conjugated diolefine and the monovinyl aromatic hydrocarbon and contain 15 to 80% by weight of the bound monovinyl aromatic hydrocarbon. In the block copolymer, (i) the block copolymer contains not less than 10% by weight of each of the block units (A) and the block units (B); (ii) the total content of the bound monovinyl aromatic hydrocarbon is from 10 to 40% by weight; (iii) the average content of the vinyl bonds in the conjugated diolefine portions is from 20 to 70%; and (iv) polymerizable terminals of the block copolymer are reacted with an isocyanate compound.

    摘要: A rubber composition containing at least 20% by weight of a styrene-butadiene block copolymer consisting of a block (A) and a block (B) characterized in that: (i) the block (A) is a styrene-butadiene copolymer block having the content of styrene of 10-80% by weight and the average content of the vinyl bonds in the butadiene portion of 30-70% by weight; (ii) the block (B) is a polybutadiene block with the average content of the vinyl bonds in the butadiene portion being not more than 60% by weight (iii) the styrene-butadiene block copolymer contains at least 20% by weight of each of the block (A) and the block (B); (iv) the average content of the vinyl bonds in the butadiene portion of the block (A) is greater by at least 5% by weight than that of the block (B); (v) the glass transition temperature of the block (A) is higher by at least 30.degree. C. than that of the block (B); (vi) the whole content of the bound styrene in the above block copolymer is 5-40% by weight; (vii) the ratio Mw/Mn between the weight average molecular weight Mw and the number average molecular weight Mn of the block copolymer is 1.8-5.0 when calculated as polystyrene according to the gel permeation chromatogram; and (viii) the Mooney's viscosity (ML.sub.1+4.sup.100.degree. C.) of the block copolymer is 20-150.

    摘要: A butadiene-based rubber composition is disclosed, which contains not less than 20% by weight of a butadiene-based homopolymer or copolymer having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of not less than -105.degree. C., but less than -70.degree. C. and a Mooney viscosity (ML.sub.1+4, 100.degree. C.) of 10 to 150. The butadiene-based homopolymer or copolymer is obtained by polymerizing butadiene or random-copolymerizing butadiene with at least one kind of a monomer selected from the group consisting of another conjugated diene and an aromatic vinyl compound, and then reacting polymerization-active terminals thereof with an isocyanate compound and/or an isothiocyanate compound. The butadiene-based rubber composition has excellent resilience, fracture strength, and wear resistance as a vulcanizate as well as excellent processability as an unvulcanized rubber, and can be used as tire applications such as tire treads, undertreads, sidewalls, bead portions, etc. as well as vibration insulating rubber, hoses, belts and other industrial articles.
