    摘要: A muffler arrangement includes an exhaust-gas muffler, which is subdivided into an inlet space and an outlet space. An exhaust-gas stub of an internal combustion engine opens into the inlet space. Exhaust gas is conducted from the outlet space into an air channel via an exhaust-gas outlet. The air channel is formed between the housing of the exhaust-gas muffler and an outer cover and extends along a side of the exhaust-gas muffler. A cooling-air component flow is branched from a cooling-air flow of a cooling-air blower and enters at a first end of the air channel. The cooling-air component flow exits again at the second end of the air channel. In order to reduce the discharge temperature of the exhaust gas (especially with the arrangement of a catalytic converter), it is provided that the exhaust-gas jet is conducted in the air channel in spaced relationship to the air channel walls and is essentially surrounded on its path to the air channel outlet window by the supplied cooling-air component flow so that the exhaust-gas jet forms a core flow and the cooling-air component flow forms a cover flow surrounding the core flow.

    摘要: The invention relates to an intake system (1) for the combustion air (2) of an internal combustion engine (3) in a portable handheld work apparatus (4). The intake system (19) includes a filter housing (5) having an air filter (6) for purifying the combustion air (2). The clean space (8) of the air filter (6) is fluidly connected to an outlet opening (10) of the filter housing (5). The outlet opening (10) communicates with a carburetor (7) of the engine (3). A centrifugal-force separator (13) is mounted forward of the air filter (6) for separating large amounts of dust in the inducted combustion air (2). The separator (13) is so positioned ahead of the filter housing (5) that a central core flow (14) of the separator has a lower particle density (15) and is supplied to the filter (6). A tangential flow (16) surrounds the central core flow (14) in the interior of the separator (13). The tangential flow (16) has a great amount of dust or dirt and is conducted away via the suction side (11) of a blower (12), especially of a cooling-air blower (19) of the engine (3) having vanes on the back side thereof.

    摘要: An ignition circuit is for an internal combustion engine in a handheld portable work apparatus. A combustion chamber (4) is configured in the cylinder (3) of the engine (1) which is delimited by a piston (5) driving a crankshaft (7). A pole wheel (10) revolves with the crankshaft (7) and is assigned to an induction loop (13). The pole wheel periodically changes the magnetic flux in the induction loop. An ignition capacitor (16) is charged by a charge coil (14) of the induction loop and is discharged via a discharge circuit (15) via an ignition coil (17). The ignition coil is connected to a spark plug (19) projecting into the combustion chamber. For achieving a powerful ignition spark, the discharge of the ignition capacitor is prevented by an rpm evaluation circuit (23) when the rpm curve (30) exhibits an rpm change (Δn) which exceeds a pregiven threshold value.

    摘要: A two-cycle engine is provided that has a cylinder in which is formed a combustion chamber delimited by a reciprocating piston that via a connecting rod drives a crankshaft rotatably mounted in a crankcase. An inlet is provided for a supply of fuel into the crankcase, and an outlet leads out of the combustion chamber. In predetermined positions of the piston the crankcase communicates with the combustion chamber via at least one transfer channel. The cover is secured to a connecting flange of the cylinder, the cover closes off the transfer channel on an outer side of a cylinder, the connecting flange is inclined relative to the longitudinal axis of the cylinder by an angle that opens in a direction toward the crankcase.

    摘要: A two-stroke engine has a cylinder with a combustion chamber and a reciprocating piston for driving a crankshaft. Transfer passages connect the crankcase in at least one position of the piston with the combustion chamber and open by piston-controlled transfer ports into the combustion chamber.     摘要: A muffler assembly for an internal combustion engine of a portable handheld work apparatus such as a motor-driven chain saw, cutoff machine or the like includes an exhaust-gas muffler (1) which has a muffler housing (10). The muffler housing (10) is formed essentially from two half shells (24, 25) connected substantially fluid-tight to each other. The interior space of the muffler housing (10) includes at least two chambers (2, 3) which are partitioned from each other by a partition wall (4). A catalytic converter (5) is mounted in the partition wall (4). In the interior space of the muffler housing (10), an exhaust-gas inlet (6) opens which is connected to an exhaust-gas stub (9) of the cylinder (8) of the engine. The exhaust-gas muffler has an exhaust-gas outlet (7) which conducts exhaust gas from the interior space. The exhaust-gas muffler (1) is connected with threaded fasteners at at least three attachment points (22, 23) to the cylinder (8) in order to obtain a good fixation of the exhaust-gas muffler on the cylinder (8) of the engine. The cylinder has a combustion chamber that is delimited by a reciprocating piston that via a connecting rod drives a crankshaft that is mounted in a crankcase so as to be rotatable about a crankshaft axis. The cylinder has an outlet for conveying exhaust gases out of the combustion chamber, with the outlet having an axis of the channel thereof. The cylinder also has an inlet for supplying a fuel/air mixture to the crankcase. By means of at least two transfer channels, the fuel/air mixture is conveyed out of the crankcase and into the combustion chamber, with the transfer channels being disposed symmetrically relative to the axis of the channel of the outlet. When viewed in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the cylinder, the axis of the channel of the outlet is disposed at an angle of less than 90° relative to the longitudinal central axis of the crankshaft.
