摘要: A heat exchanger plate for an evaporator includes a flow transverse distribution device. Disks of the flow transverse distribution device conduct the medium to be evaporated to the flow channel extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis. The disks include openings allowing a flow of the medium in the direction of the longitudinal axis with comparatively higher flow resistance than in the direction of the transverse axis. The number of disks arranged one behind the other in the direction of the longitudinal axis varies over the width of the heat exchanger plate in the direction of the transverse axis. On each width section, in which the entry of the medium into the disks arranged one behind the other is intended, the comparatively largest number of disks is provided one behind the other. As the distance from the entrance increases, the number decreases in the direction of the transverse axis.

摘要: The invention relates to a heat exchanger plate for an evaporator; with a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis, with the transverse axis being disposed perpendicularly or substantially perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis; with at least one flow channel which extends in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the heat exchanger plate through a heat supply area of the heat exchanger plate and conducts the medium to be evaporated; with an inlet for the medium to be evaporated, which inlet is in a flow-conducting connection with the at least one flow channel arranged in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the heat exchanger plate, with a meandering inflow channel being provided in the direction of the longitudinal axis between the inlet and the at least one flow channel arranged in the direction of the longitudinal axis, which inflow channel is in a flow-conducting connection with the inlet and the at least one flow channel, and conducts the medium which flows out of the inlet to the at least one flow channel in an alternating manner along the transverse axis in the direction of the at least one flow channel. The invention is characterized in that the meandering inflow channel is formed by a plurality of webs which are disposed on the heat exchanger plate or a base plate which forms the bottom or top of the inflow channel and the at least one flow channel arranged in the direction of the longitudinal axis, which webs extend in the direction of the transverse axis, and the inflow channel between the webs is subdivided into individual partial channels by a plurality of plates which extend in the direction of the transverse axis.

摘要: A system and method for recovering energy from gases of an internal combustion engine in conjunction with exhaust gas recirculation is described and illustrated, and in some embodiments includes an exhaust gas recirculation valve and an exhaust gas recirculation heat exchanger, with a working medium which undergoes a cyclic process being evaporated in the exhaust gas recirculation heat exchanger by hot exhaust gases, and with resulting steam being converted into mechanical or electrical energy which is available as additional energy. To improve heat recovery with little technical expenditure, an exhaust gas control valve can interact with the exhaust gas recirculation heat exchanger, and can control the mass flow of exhaust gases flowing through the exhaust gas recirculation heat exchanger constantly in all operating phases of the internal combustion engine, approximately in the vicinity of the performance limit of energy recovery.

摘要: A heat exchange arrangement for a vehicle has at least two heat exchangers exposed to the action of ambient air. One of the heat exchanger is coolant cooler and the other one is a charge-air coolant. Each of these coolers has tubes through which liquid or gas flows and heat dissipating ribs connected to the tubes. The coolant cooler is positioned upstream of the charge-air cooler in the air-flow direction. The charge-air cooler has an overlapping region in which the coolant cooler and the charge-air cooler overlap one another and a non-overlapping region in which the coolant cooler projects substantially perpendicularly to the cooling air flow direction. The non-overlapping region is formed at least in the charge-air outlet region and is cooled directly by ambient cooling air. The overlapping region is cooled by the ambient cooling air that has passed through the coolant cooler, which is positioned immediately upstream of the overlapping region of the charge-air cooler.

摘要: A number of flat tubes, flat tube heat exchangers, and methods of manufacturing both are described and illustrated. The flat tubes can be constructed of one, two, or more pieces of sheet material. A profiled insert integral with the flat tube or constructed from another sheet of material can be used to define multiple flow channels through the flat tube. The flat tubes can be constructed of relatively thin material, and can be reinforced with folds of the flat tube material and/or of an insert in areas subject to higher pressure and thermal stresses. Also, the relatively thin flat tube material can have a corrosion layer enabling the material to resist failure due to corrosion. Heat exchangers having such flat tubes connected to collection tubes are also disclosed, as are manners in which such tubes can be provided with fins.

摘要: A heat exchanger including a plurality of longitudinal flat tubes stacked together with space between the broad sides of adjacent tubes, and inlet and outlet collecting tanks. The inlet collecting tank distributes a first medium into the tubes, and has a wall extending around the periphery of one end the stack of flat tubes over a selected longitudinal section, the wall having at least one of an inlet and outlet for a second medium distributed in the space between the stacked tubes. The outlet collecting tank receives the first medium from the tubes. Longitudinal internal inserts in the flat tubes are metallically connected to the broad sides of the associated flat tube. At least one row of cutouts is between the longitudinal ends of the internal inserts and in the selected longitudinal section, with the row of cutouts extending substantially across the broad width of the insert.
