The invention further relates to the use of these novel hSLAP-2v3 and hSLAP-2v4 polynucleotides and their encoded polypeptides as targets for therapeutic intervention in immunological and inflammatory disorders, autoimmune diseases, pulmonary diseases, proliferative immune disorders, and cancer.

The half-life of the antibody polypeptides may be increased by modifying the antibody polypeptides to be dual specific reagents that can also bind human serum albumin (HSA).
