    摘要: There is presently provided a device for detecting an analyte particle in a sample. The device comprises a chamber having an interior surface upon which is located an electrode array. The electrode array comprises pairs of electrodes, each pair having an inner electrode and an outer electrode that substantially surrounds the inner electrode. Each pair of electrodes is coated with a capture molecule that recognises and binds the analyte particle that is to be identified and quantified. The device uses a combination of dielectrophoresis and impedance measurements to capture and measure analyte particles from a sample.

    摘要: A fluidics apparatus for manipulation of at least one fluid sample is disclosed. A manipulation surface locates the fluid sample. A surface acoustic wave (SAW) generation material layer is provided. This is a polycrystalline material, textured polycrystalline material, biaxially textured polycrystalline material, microcrystalline material, nanocrystalline material, amorphous material or composite material. A transducer electrode structure arranged at the SAW generation material layer provides SAWs at the manipulation surface for interaction with the fluid sample. The manipulation surface has a phononic structure, for affecting the transmission, distribution and/or behavior of SAWs at the manipulation surface. The apparatus is typically manufactured by reel-to-reel processes, to reduce the unit cost to a level at which the apparatus can be considered to be disposable after a single use.

    摘要: A measuring device includes a first substrate; and a second substrate bonded on the first substrate. The second substrate has at least two inflow ports, at least two outflow ports, and an injection port. The two inflow ports, the two outflow ports, and the injection port penetrate the second substrate. The first substrate includes partition wall portions opposing to each other, and forming a first cavity between the partition wall portions, and forming at least two second cavities close against one of the partition wall portions. Each second cavity is provided adjacent to the first cavity. Through holes are provided in the respective partition wall portions to connect the first cavity and the second cavity to each other, and the through holes are adapted to capture an object to-be-tested introduced in the first cavity.

    摘要: A device for generating a nebulized sample for detection of an analyte. The device includes a surface acoustic wave (SAW) transducer and a superstrate. The superstrate has a first surface for coupling with the SAW transducer and a second surface for receiving a fluid sample incorporating the analyte. The fluid sample is nebulized from the second surface. The superstrate is provided with an electrical connection extending from the second surface of the superstrate to provide a conducting path from a charge source to the second surface of the superstrate. The charge source may be the surface of the transducer or an external voltage source.
