摘要： An automotive lid lock device comprises a lock proper which includes a latch plate and a locking plate. The locking plate is pivotal between a locking position to lock the latch plate and an unlocking position to release the latch plate. The lid lock device further comprises a power unlocking mechanism for pivoting the locking plate to the unlocking position with an aid of an electric power. The power unlocking mechanism includes an electric motor; a worm connected to an output shaft of the motor to rotate therewith; a worm wheel operatively engaged with the worm and a release lever extending between the locking plate and the worm wheel to pivot the locking plate from the locking position to the unlocking position when the worm wheel is turned in a given direction. The release lever, the locking plate and the worm wheel are so arranged that when the worm wheel is turned in the given direction, the worm wheel pushes the release lever toward the locking plate.

摘要： A position pointer is provided, which includes a housing having an opening, a bar-like rod disposed in the housing such that one end thereof projects from the opening, and a variable capacitor having a capacitance value which varies in response to pressure applied thereto through the rod. The capacitor includes a dielectric member having a first face portion opposite a second face portion, a first electrode section disposed on the first face portion of the dielectric member, a conductive member facing the second face portion of the dielectric member and forming a second electrode section when brought into contact with the second face portion of the dielectric member, and an elastic member coupled with the conductive member and adapted for biasing the conductive member away from the second face portion. A contact area between the conductive member and the second face portion varies depending on the pressure applied thereto through the rod.

The degree of rotation of the finger wheel by the user determines the extent to which a chosen graphical parameter (e.g. line thickness, color, shading, gray scale, etc.) is varied. Thus, a user can easily vary the graphical parameter while drawing by merely rotating the finger wheel about its fixed rotational axis. Preferably, rotation of the wheel causes an intermediate gear wheel with teeth thereon to rotate which in turn causes a potentiometer to detect the degree of rotation of the finger wheel. In alternative embodiments of this invention, a touchpad for inputting finger position and/or finger pressure information may be provided on the side of the stylus instead of the finger wheel.

摘要： The invention relates to a pointing unit adapted for a stylus pen associated with a coordinate data input device which has been commonly used as one of some input devices for a computer system. This pointing unit comprises a casing formed in a substantially cylindrical shape; a support member installed in the interior of the casing, the support member being limited to move in the reverse direction of one end opening of the casing; a cap member formed in the same cylindrical shape as the casing, the external diameter of the cap member being slightly smaller than the internal diameter of the casing, one end of the cap member being formed in a dome shape and arranged close to the end opening so as to protrude a predetermined length of the dome shape end from the end opening of the casing, the cap member being limited to move in the outward direction and on the contrary freely sliding in the inward direction; a core member made of magnetic material arranged close to the inner surface of the dome shape end of the cap member; a coil member made of magnetic material, interposed between the core member and the support member; and an elastic member arranged in a narrow space defined between the coil member and the inner surface of the dome shape end of the cap member to urge the cap member outward in the reverse direction with respect to the coil member so that the dome shape end of the cap member is protruded some length from the opening end of the casing.
