    摘要: Thermoplastic elastomer compositions are prepared by feeding a mixture of (a) a peroxide crosslinking type olefin copolymer rubber, (b) a peroxide decomposition type olefin plastics and optionally, (c) a peroxide non-crosslinking type hydrocarbon rubbery substance through a hopper into a cylinder of an extrusion machine, and feeding simultaneously (d) a mineral oil type softener, or both (d) and (e) silicone oil, through an inlet provided on the cylinder separately from the hopper, thereby dynamically heat treating the resulting mixture in the presence of organic peroxide to prepare a partially crosslinked thermoplastic elastomer composition. Alternatively the mixture of the above-mentioned components (a) and (b), or (a), (b) and (c) are fed through a hopper into a cylinder of an extrusion machine so that the retention time of the mixture in the hopper is within 10 minutes, and feeding simultaneously (d) mineral oil type softener, or both (d) and (e) silicone oil into the hopper, thereby dynamically heat treating the resulting mixture in the presence of organic peroxide to prepare a partially crosslinked thermoplastic elastomer composition.

    摘要: A multilayered molding is disclosed, which has a base molding outer layer mainly composed of a partial crosslinking type substance A obtained from polyolefin resin and ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer rubber or a mixture B of polyolefin resin and ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer rubber or both. The outermost layer is in direct contact with and forms a lamination with an inner intermediate layer or a base molding composed of a polyethylene resin, for instance, and is firmly bonded to the outermost layer. A method of manufacturing such multilayered molding is also disclosed, in which a composite sheet of the thermoplastic elastomer with or without the intermediate layer is preliminarily heated, followed by being suction held in close contact with a mold cavity inner surface, thus forming a surface layer. The mold is then clamped, and fluidized and plasticized polyolefin resin is injected to produce the molding. The polyolefin resin may also be injected prior to the clamping.

    摘要: A laminate comprising (a) a layer of a partially crosslinked graft-modified polyolefin elastomer formed by dynamically heat-treating a mixture of a peroxide-crosslinking olefin copolymer rubber and an olefinic plastic with an unsaturated carboxylic acid or derivative thereof, an unsaturated epoxy monomer or an unsaturated hydroxy monomer in the presence of an organic peroxide and (b) a layer of a polyamide, polyurethane or polyester is excellent in weatherability, heat resistance and dimension stability, and this laminate is effectively molded into an interior part or sealing material of an automobile, especially a glass run channel. The glass run channel molded from this laminate is excellent in the durability, the tightness of contact with glass at the time of closing and the sliding smoothness at the opening-closing operation.

    摘要: Dynamically partially cured composition comprising a peroxide-curable olefin copolymer rubber (such as EDPM) and a peroxide-decomposing olefin plastic (such as PE and PP) is improved by effecting the dynamic heat-treatment with addition of a peroxide-non-curable hydrocarbon rubber (such as PIB) and/or a mineral oil softener (process oil). The dynamic heat-treatment is preferably carried out not only in the presence of an organic peroxide but also in the presence of divinyl benzene. The elastomeric composition is thermoplastic and, with or without further blending with an olefin plastic, is processable by techniques conventionally used for thermoplastic resins. This elastomer composition and blends of the elastomer composition and olefin plastic can be used for producing foamed product in combination with decomposition type foaming agent (such as azodicarbonamide).
