摘要： Pieces of white balance information indicating color features of a colored picture or picture blocks obtained by partitioning the colored picture are extracted from piece of picture data of the colored picture in an extracting unit. Whether or not a white region exist in the colored picture is judged in a white region judging unit according to the white balance information indicating the color features of the colored picture. When the existence of the white region is judged, a white balance coefficient is calculated in a white balance calculating unit to make the white region white. In contrast, when no existence of any white region is judged, a color distribution axis extending from an original point of a color space to a gravity center of the white balance information indicating the color features of the picture blocks from which pieces of white balance information corresponding to picture blocks of a high chromatic color or a uniform chromaticity are removed is detected in a color distribution axis detecting unit, and the white balance coefficient is calculated to set the color distribution axis to an achromatic color axis of the color space. Therefore, a white balance adjustment adapted to color features of each of colored pictures can be performed.

摘要： Provided is a polyolefin-based resin composition capable of obtaining a molded product having a high modulus of elongation and a low coefficient of linear expansion. The polyolefin-based resin composition includes a polyolefin-based resin containing either one or both of an acid-modified polyolefin-based resin and a polyolefin-based resin with a hydroxyl group, and flaked graphite. The flaked graphite is uniformly dispersed in the polyolefin-based resin. As a result, a molded product formed by using the polyolefin-based resin composition has excellent mechanical strength such as a high modulus of elongation, a low coefficient of linear expansion, and high dimensional stability, and can be used for various applications such as a material that is suitable for use as the exterior panels of automobiles or a steel sheet replacement material.

摘要： A magnetic transcription device for transcribing information signals of a master information carrier in a magnetic recording medium by applying a magnetic field generated by magnetic field generating means to a contact body obtained by contacting the master information carrier having a base on which ferromagnetic bodies corresponding to the information signals are formed with a magnetic recording medium having a ferromagnetic layer, wherein the magnetic recording medium includes driving means for adjusting a distance between the magnetic field generating means and the contact body while rotating the magnetic field generating means relative to the contact body. Accordingly, an external magnetic field can be applied and removed for transcription of the information signals of the master information carrier in the magnetic recording medium while rotating the magnetic field generating means relative to the contact body, so that the deterioration of reproduction signals from the magnetic recording medium can be prevented.

摘要： A vapor deposition apparatus for depositing thin film on substrates in which solid starting materials are used. In this apparatus, a carrier gas flows up and down in the same direction as gas convection, such that the effect of gas convection is minimized and film thickness and impurity concentration are uniform over the substrate surface. This uniformity is achieved by orienting a main reaction tube in a vertical direction, attaching two branch reaction tubes at the top of the main reaction tube, and venting carrier gas out the bottom of the main reaction tube. Alternately, the main reaction tube can be oriented horizontally, with the substrates being carried on a holder within a container having pores on its top and bottom.
