A conductor member for an electric circuit includes a conductive plastic mold in which carbon fibers or graphite fibers are dispersedly contained, and a metallic layer at least partially plated on the surface of said conductive plastic mold. The conductor member is provided on the surface of an insulating substrate to provide an electric circuit body. Thus, the conductor member for an electric circuit and the electric circuit body can be easily formed in a three-dimensional circuit because of its simple fabrication and excellent processing. Further, the film of metal plating can be made at a high speed and is hard to break because of the intimate contact of the plated metal.

In a carbon thread, vapor phase growth carbon fiber (VGCF) are dispersedly contained in a carbon matrix. The carbon thread is produced by forming a thread-like element from a mixture of VGCF and carbonizable carbon-containing compound and then by heat-treating the thread-like element to effect carbonization thereon. The thread-like element may be formed either by melt-spinning or solution-spinning the mixture, or by impregnably adhering the mixture onto a thread of heat resisting fibers. The carbonized carbon thread thus obtained may be subjected to further heat treatment to graphitize the carbon thread.

The production control department 16 forwards a first ordered quantity data D1, second ordered quantity data D2 and third ordered quantity data D3, each data meeting the received ordered data D, to a resin-producing department 44, core wire-producing department 45 and additive-producing department 46, respectively. The departments 44, 45 and 46 produce a pellet, core wire and additive with the respective necessary amount, respectively, and send them to the wire-producing department 14.
