    摘要: The invention relates to a monolithic support member comprising channels with walls separating the channels from each other and having a coating deposited thereon, the non-coated channels having a polygonal cross-section profile, wherein the mean thickness dC of the coating in a corner of said cross-section profile is smaller than or equal to the mean thickness dE of the coating on an edge of said cross-section profile plus 85 micrometer; and further relates to a method for the preparation of such coated monolithic support member, the method comprising (i) providing a suspension having a viscosity in the range of from 0.5 to 100 mPas and having a solid content in the range of from 1 to 40 wt.-%, (ii) dispersing the suspension into a gas stream to obtain a gas stream comprising droplets having a droplet size in the range of from d10 greater than or equal to 1 micrometer to d90 smaller than or equal to 100 micrometer; and (iii) directing said gas stream comprising said droplet towards the monolithic support member along the axial direction of the channels of the support; and still further relates to the use of such coated monolithic support member, in particular as catalytic article in the automotive exhaust gas treatment.

    摘要: Provided are catalyst composites that can be used in methods for treating exhaust gas from internal combustion engines, including diesel and gasoline engines, systems including such catalyst composites and methods of using the catalyst composites to treat internal combustion engine exhaust. The catalyst composites may provide diesel oxidation catalysts and three-way catalysts. A catalyst composite is provided which a catalytic material on a carrier, the catalytic material including a palladium component dispersed on a first support comprising at least 60% by weight of a zirconia component, and one or more rare earth oxides selected from the group consisting of lanthana, neodymia, praseodymia, yttria, the first support optionally containing no more than 15% by weight ceria, and being free of alumina. Layered catalyst composites having one or more washcoats on the carrier are also provided.

    摘要: This invention pertains to an improved process for the alkylation of aromatic amines. The improvement resides in the use with particular aromatic amines and olefins a catalyst which is a highly acidic partially dealuminated zeolite having an increased silica to alumina molar ratio over the original zeolite and an acidity factor of at least 0.3. The partially dealuminated zeolites are preferably exchanged with hydrogen or rare earth metal and are particularly effective for producing an alkylated aromatic amine where the alkyl group is ortho to the amine. The highly acidic partially dealuminated H-mordenite and partially dealuminated HY faujasite are very effective for the alkylation of aniline with propylene.

    摘要: A process for converting a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alcohol to a non-equilibrium controlled distribution of mono-, di- and trialkylamines is disclosed. A mixture of the alcohol and ammonia is reacted in a first conversion reactor containing a shape selective catalyst to yield a first product stream comprising the mono- and disubstituted alkylamines and substantially no trisubstituted alkylamine. A predetermined fraction of the first product stream is removed and the remainder of the stream is reacted in a second conversion reactor containing a catalyst which yields a second product stream comprising an equilibrium controlled distribution of the mono-, di- and trisubstituted alkylamine. The fraction of the first product stream and the second product stream are combined to yield an alkylamines stream comprising a non-equilibrium controlled alkylamines distribution.

    摘要: Provided are catalyst composites comprising: a catalytic material on a carrier, the catalytic material comprising a precious metal selected from a palladium component and an oxygen storage component, the oxygen storage component being present in an amount of at least 10% by weight, wherein substantially all of the oxygen storage component is in intimate contact with the palladium component and the catalytic material is effective to substantially simultaneously oxidize carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons and reduce nitrogen oxides. A catalyst composite comprising: a catalytic material on a carrier, the catalytic material comprising a palladium component and a ceria-zirconia composite support, the ceria being present in an amount in the range of 10 to 70% by weight, wherein substantially all of the ceria is in intimate contact with at least a portion of the palladium component. Methods of making and using these catalysts are also provided.
