摘要: Technologies are generally described for controlling temperature using compounds capable of photoisomerization. In some examples, a temperature control apparatus includes a first receiving unit configured to contain a compound capable of photoisomerization, a second receiving unit configured to contain the compound capable of photoisomerization, a first filter configured to pass first light from a first light source, and a second filter configured to pass second light from a second light source. Further, the first and second receiving units are coupled to each other so that the compound capable of photoisomerization may be circulated between the first and second receiving units, and the compound capable of photoisomerization in the first receiving unit and the second receiving unit is photoisomerized by at least one of the first light and the second light.

摘要: A first cell containing at least one magnetic particle is provided and a second cell is also provided. The second cell is cultured in the presence of the first cell. An alternating magnetic field is applied to the first cell. The alternating magnetic field at least partially separates the first cell from the second cell.

摘要: A composite coating device includes first to third processing chambers. The first processing chamber performs an ion beam etching as a pretreatment process in which an ion beam is irradiated on a surface of a magnetic head at a predetermined angle and the surface is removed for a predetermined depth. The second processing chamber performs a magnetron sputter deposition as a shock absorbing coating formation process in which a shock absorbing coating is formed on the pretreated surface. The third processing chamber performs an electron cyclotron resonance plasma chemical vapor epitaxy or a cathode arc discharge deposition as an overcoat formation process in which an overcoat is formed on the shock absorbing coating. A preparation chamber communicates with the first to third processing chambers through opening and closing devices for transferring the magnetic head.

摘要: A vehicle battery control system includes: a battery module that is constituted with a plurality of cells that are connected in series; a cell controller that detects each voltage at the plurality of cells; and a battery control unit that detects a total voltage of the battery module based on a signal from a voltage sensor disposed between a contactor connected to the battery module and an inverter equipment connected to the contactor and calculates a battery state of the battery module based upon the detected total voltage. And the battery control unit calculates the battery state based upon a total value of voltages at the plurality of cells detected by the cell controller in place of the total voltage when the contactor is in an open state.

摘要: A position detecting sensor for detecting a position of a magnetic body includes a first yoke, a first pair of magnets respectively possessing first and second poles and provided at both sides of the first yoke, a magnetic detecting element located at a distant position at a right angle from a center portion on a line connecting the first pair of magnets. The first pole of one of the first pair of magnets faces one side of the first yoke and the second pole of the other one of the first pair of magnets faces the other side of the first yoke. The first pole of the one of the first pair of magnets is the same as the first pole of the other one of the first pair of magnets.

摘要: A video camera having a power-On recording standby mode, a power-On recording disabled mode, and a power-saving mode, in addition to power-OFF mode. The power-saving mode is a state in which the time taken to shift to said recording standby mode is shorter than the time taken to shift from power-OFF mode. Switching to the power-saving mode is inhibited when recording on the recording medium is not possible, thereby improving the operability of the video camera for the user. The user is prevented from attempting to record during power saving mode.
