A coil case has a mounting flange on an outer surface thereof. A coil assembly is housed in the coil case. A casting material is filled into a gap between the coil case and the coil assembly and gaps which the coil assembly has. A plurality of first guide ribs are provided on an inner wall surface of the coil case or an outer surface of the coil assembly, for positioning the outer surface of the coil assembly with respect to the inner wall surface of the coil case. A limited area in which there is no first guide rib is provided on the inner wall surface of the coil case which faces the mounting flange, or the outer surface of the coil assembly which faces the mounting flange via the inner wall surface of the coil case.

    摘要: There is provided a method for connecting an insulator coated wire with a conductive member while keeping the electrical resistance low and enough joint strength at the joint section therebetween without removing the coating film of the insulator coated wire beforehand. The conductive member has upper and lower pieces which pinch the insulator coated wire, and a gap between the upper and lower pieces varies at different locations. The wire and the conductive member have a good electrical connection at a region of the joint section where the gap between the upper and lower pieces is narrow. In addition, the connection strength of the wire and the conductive member can be enhanced at a region of the joint section where the gap between the upper and lower pieces is wide.

    摘要: An ignition apparatus for an internal combustion engine, which is controlled by a control unit, includes a connector, an ignition coil assembly, an igniter and a capacitor. The connector is electrically connected with the control unit, and includes an input terminal, which is electrically connected with the control unit to receive an ignition signal outputted by the control unit. The connector also includes a ground terminal, which is connected with a ground. The igniter includes a switching device that switches a coil current supplied to the ignition coil assembly based on the ignition signal received from the control unit through the connector. The igniter also includes a Zener diode that serves as a protection element of the switching device. The capacitor is provided in parallel with the Zener diode between the input terminal and the ground terminal to form a parallel circuit.
