    摘要: A fast light off flow-through ceramic substrate is provided that is particularly adapted for use as a catalytic converter. The substrate is formed from a body of ceramic material having axially opposing inlet and outlet ends for receiving and expelling the flow of automotive exhaust gas, respectively. The body contains a network of walls coated with a catalyst that define axially-oriented flow-through cell channels. The average thermal mass (ATM1) of a first axial region of the walls adjacent to the inlet end is at least 20% less than the average thermal mass (ATMTOT) of all of the walls. The lower average thermal mass of the walls in the first region advantageously shortens the light off time for the catalyst within the substrate to effectively neutralize automotive pollutants. The reduction of the average thermal mass in only the first axial region of the walls advantageously maintains the strength of the resulting body of ceramic material, and further increases the cool down time of the body.

    摘要: A decoupling element for a fuel injection device provides a low-noise construction. The fuel injection device has at least one fuel injection valve and a receiving bore in a cylinder head for the fuel injection valve as well as the decoupling element between a valve housing of the fuel injection valve and a wall of the receiving bore. The spring rigidity of the decoupling element is so low and the decoupling element is placed between the valve housing of the fuel injection valve and the wall of the receiving bore in such a way that the decoupling resonance is located in the frequency range below 2.5 kHz. The fuel injection device is particularly suitable for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of a mixture-compressing spark-ignited internal combustion engine.

    摘要: A vibrating plate comprises a vibration generator device, which can be controlled in such a manner that the direction of the action of force can be set at a number of locations, particularly in more than two locations. In addition, an advance adjusting device is provided for controlling the vibration generator device whereby the direction of the action of force is set in a position in which a maximum possible advance of the vibrating plate is reached. The direction of the action of force can be changed according to a change in the surroundings of the vibrating plate, particularly to the slope and/or the hardness of a subsoil to be compacted by a soil contact plate. The rate of urea injection, GUREA, by the urea injection unit (25) is determined so that the value of ammonia concentration, NH3CONS, detected by the ammonia sensor (26) is greater than “0.”
