摘要: Signals entered from receiving transducer elements of 160 channels are multiplexed into 10 signal lines by 10 multiplexers. Each of 10 A/D converters converts the signals of 16 channels from analog from into digital form. The multiplexers are switched with synchronized switching timing to produce 10 pieces of sample data strings with the same timing. 160 pieces of sample data sampled in a steplike form are shifted in phase according to an oblique-line sampling scheme. The signal of the same channel is sampled twice with a phase delay of 90° so that the signal can be converted into complex-valued sample data without increasing the number of processing circuits.

摘要: A water tank includes a bottom surface having a suction opening for draining water, and an air-suction preventing member covering the suction opening, spaced with a gap allowing water to flow into the suction opening, above the bottom surface. The air-suction preventing member is so arranged as to interrupt suction of air by the suction opening due to generation of a vortex at the suction opening. The arrangement provides a water tank free of any possible failure and having a simple structure not increasing weight and cost, preventing the air from being sucked in.

摘要: A route guiding system and method for use with a navigation device that provides route guidance utilizing portions of speech uttered by a user to further guide the user to a location. The route guiding system includes a route guide request presence or absence determining unit and an institution extracting unit. The route guide request presence or absence determining unit determines whether a pre-registered a route guide request, such as “I see,” is included in a user utterance. The institution extracting unit extracts a word related to an institution such as, “post office,” from the user utterance. For example, if the user states, “I see a post office.” The route guide request presence or absence determining unit identifies “I see” and the institution extracting unit identifies “post office.” Further, the route guiding system may include a institution retrieving unit that retrieves institutions located near the position of a vehicle equipped with the navigation system of the invention, an institution candidate selecting unit that selects institutions located along a route guide from among the retrieved institutions, a user-uttered institution specifying unit that specifies an institution uttered by the user from among the selected institutions, and a route guide output unit that makes a guide according to the number of intersections located in the section from the specified institution up to a place to be guided.

摘要: An interrupt signal EMG is put out to a microprocessor 10 when a thermal monitor 40 detects that a package temperature exceeds a reference. The microprocessor then increases a frequency division value N stored in a frequency division value register 31 of a clock mechanism 30. An inputted clock signal MCK is divided by N to generate a system clock signal SCK. Therefore, the frequency of system clock signal SCK decreases when N increases. Consequently, electricity consumption of each function module 20i decreases and the package temperature is reduced.

摘要: A diagnostic system to diagnose a pressure profile of a molding machine M in an operating state is disclosed. The pressure profile of the molding machine M in the operating state is measured with a pressure sensor of a measurement system 3. In a diagnostic system A, a database is formed such that a reference pressure profile and the actual pressure profile selected according to a mold to be made are preserved therein. The diagnostic system A compares the reference pressure profile to the actual pressure profile in the database to determine whether the actual pressure profile is within a predetermined tolerance.

摘要: In an apparatus for providing information about a vehicle's surroundings, if failure in a sensor occurs, a warning fault calculating unit registers “fault” in the entry of a warning type influenced by the failure in the sensor and generates a message warning that an operation fault has occurred in the warning type due to the failure. A warning generating unit determines whether the vehicle is in a state in which a warning the warning type should be generated on the basis of sensor information received from a sensor information processing unit. If the warning should be generated, the warning generating unit transmits a warning of the warning type to a warning output control unit. The warning generating unit does not transmit a warning of the warning type if the fault status of the warning type is “fault”.

摘要: A rolling apparatus having a width adjustment function includes a horizontal sleeve roll divided into two rolls in the axial direction and shrink-fitted over an arbor. Internal threads are formed in the inner circumference of one of the divided sleeve rolls. The arbor includes fluid passages for loading a fluid under high pressure between the sleeve roll and the arbor. A width-adjusting sleeve is movably mounted over the axial end portion of the arbor and external threads for formed in the inner side portion of the width-adjusting sleeve. The external threads of the width-adjusting sleeve are threadedly engaged with the internal threads of the sleeve roll. A clutch mechanism fixes the width-adjusting sleeve in a fixed position when a roll width adjustment is performed.
